19.01.2022 At last nights Council meeting I moved a motion to have Council place petitions throughout Orange to get the communities support to lobby both State and Federal... governments to return Power Generators back under the control of Government and Nationalise Power Generation. The current situation is placing the elderly and lower incomes families in situations where they simply can not meet their power consumption costs. It is also driving small business to the wall and larger businesses to consider relocating their operations off shore. 16.01.2022 What a mess. The question that needs to be answered by the Premier now is how much did this exercise cost we the tax payers and rate payers of NSW over the pas...t several years? Who would have thought that a by election in the State seat of Orange held by the Nationals for over 75 years would lead to the Nationals losing the seat and the fallout would continue with Nationals NSW leader and a sitting Premier both ending up in the political dust bin. And, whilst this is the stuff that makes democracy in action legendary and we throw our hands in the air in solidarity the true reality is that we the tax and rate payers of NSW payed for it all... and will be paying for it not only in dollars but in local community shortfalls for a very long time in to the future. 07.01.2022 This plan "madness" !!! These folk who own these premises are paying rates and the GREENS want to put an additional levy on top of this people simply because the house is empty !!! This is the type of stupid policies you get if the GREENs get elected to council. There is no disputing the need to assist those who are homeless, but this is bigger discussion with Federal and State governments, not slugging the ratepayers of Orange more money just because their dwellings are empty. The last time I looked I thought we lived in Australia.

03.01.2022 I believe the preservation of the history of Orange and its people captured in still photography is an obligation of Council and its Civic Leaders. I hope the... people of Orange express there support in submitting submissions to Council in favour of the dollars required to be placed in the budget to see this happen. See more
