25.01.2022 We all need to take responsibility in reducing our dependence of, single use plastics!! As much as this is NZ we here in Australia are in the same boat. And if we don't find a solution it will start going to landfill.

17.01.2022 Sharing a couple of zero waste tips from @sustainabilityoverselfies... Jar 1: veggies scraps that you can make into stock! Good ones to try are carrots, onion, ...garlic, leek and potatoes. Jar 2: circus peels like lemon, lime and orange. You can add white vinegar, leave it for a few weeks, strain it and dilute the mixture with water to make a simple little cleaning formula!

15.01.2022 What we use in our garden and why:- Rosemary (Rosemarinus Officianalis) With Anzac Day yesterday I thought it would be apt to do my fortnightly post on a plant that is traditionally worn on Anzac Day. Since ancient times this aromatic herb has been believed to have properties to improve the memory.... Rosemary stems are great for threading beads, as natural paint brushes, leaves can be added to enhance sensory play from babies to kindy kids ...and big kids. Dried Rosemary adds a great texture for homemade play dough Sprigs can also be fantastic for natural small world play e.g as trees and shrubs. I have gathered some fresh sprigs from our mother plant to share with families. Just pop them in glass of water until roots form and plant them into soil where a sunny spot is preferable. The bees will thank you also. Enjoy, Bev Gamble
