04.01.2022 A beloved husband, cherished father, adored poppy... Bruce Schuler should be celebrating his birthday today, surrounded by his family and friends. Creating memo...ries to look back on in years to come, a day filled with love and laughter... Instead, his family are only left with memories of birthdays past, memories which they will cherish forever, the opportunity to create more torn away from their family. Bruce's family have spent the last 8 years of not knowing what happened to him, who seemingly vanished without a trace. 8 years of hoping for answers, wondering if they will ever know where he is, praying they can bring him home, so they can bury him with the love and respect he deserves... The pain never eases, each and every day a constant reminder of all they have lost... Can you help ease their heartache? Can you help bring him home? 48 year old Bruce Gavin Schuler from Mareeba Queensland, was last seen at approximately 10:30am on Monday 9th July 2012, whilst prospecting on the historic Palmerville goldfields in Queensland. It is believed Bruce had been prospecting with three other prospectors when he had become separated from them. Bruce was reported missing later that night by friends when he failed to return from his day out in the fields. Investigations by police revealed Bruce had spoken with his family on the Saturday night prior to his disappearance but had not been in contact since. Prospectors had also reported gunshots on the day Bruce disappeared. Extensive search operations were carried out in ensuring days after Bruce was reported missing, including helicopters, police officers, a large contingent of SES crew and stock squad officers on horseback and quad bikes, covering rugged terrain. An Aboriginal Lama Lama elder Police Tracker, also participated in the search, but sadly was unable to locate Bruce in the difficult terrain. Investigations by police led them to arrest and charge two graziers from the Palmerville Station with the murder of Bruce. Although they are currently serving time in prison, they have refused to admit where Bruce's remains are. Extensive searches of the station have failed to locate Bruce. Through an outstanding effort by Fiona and associates, in 2017, Queensland introduced the bill of No Body No Parole. Bruce's family want the opportunity to bury him with the love, dignity and respect he deserves, but so far they have been denied that opportunity. Do you have any information that may change that? If you have any knowledge of where Bruce may be, please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
