15.01.2022 Randwick Waverley Community Transport wish all of our clients well and trust everyone is staying safe!! Our service is still operational and available to our c...lients who require transport services for medical, shopping services and social contact. We continue to adhere to social distancing measures and all other health advice, including regular disinfecting of vehicles Our connection team have been calling around to see how everyone is holding up, for a chat and also to see if anyone needs any shopping done. We are collaborating with Woolworths to provide priority online shopping services for our clients. But we’ve probably already called to tell you about that :) Our socials remain on hold, but we look forward to learning about restrictions easing and getting out and about with everyone soon. In the meantime, if you have any questions or feel like a chat, please give us a call on 93695366 See more

14.01.2022 A not-for-profit community transport provider in the Manning region is adapting its operations to help at-risk people with grocery shopping. The acting CEO of M...anning Valley Community Transport, Bill Parker said the service is still doing some medical and grocery shopping trips, but many clients are staying home as they're in the at-risk age group. He said it's led to a new service, working with supermarkets to order, collect and deliver groceries. "Some of the old people can't do click and collect so we've set up an account, they ring us up, we do the list for them, we go down and collect it, we pay for it, deliver it and then we collect the money off them so it's quite simple actually, he said. And he said it’s not just older people who can benefit. We can do people who are geographically and socially isolated, we do have funding for that, he said. We had a man with a severe back injury the other day who couldn't get out so we went and helped him out."

Thank you for supporting CTO with information, opinions and data, as well as accompanying me and representing CTO at meetings, forums and events. I am confident that the next few months will bring opportunity for great change to your CTSP contracts, to ease red tape constraints and bri...ng control of assets back to where they should be to the expert and agile service providers. I know you’ll keep caring and transporting, stay well. See more

04.01.2022 Meet our team. Stuart has been one of our dedicated volunteer drivers for many years. He regularly takes our Port Macquarie clients to shopping, medical appoin...tments or their families and friends. I’ll pick [a client] up today and then pick them up a week later and suddenly realise they haven’t spoken to anybody else apart from me for that whole week, so it tends to make you a pretty good listener. It makes such a big difference to them and also to me, because I think I get more out of it quite often than the clients do. [The client] may be by themselves at home and I tend to treat them like they’re family. If I can give something back to the community that’s terrific and I really enjoy that. Thank you Stuart!
