22.01.2022 This was a big wedding , took lots of photos throughout the day/night but my favourite ones were of the speeches . I used bounce flash with a fixed focal zoom lenses . The bridal party were oblivious to the photo's and to me they captured the fun relaxed vibe in the room .

22.01.2022 This artwork is a tribute to an anatomical drawing book I have always been fascinated with. Its Dynamic Figure Drawing by Burne Hogarths work famously inspired The Phantom comic strip. To say he was a visionary is an understatement - his anatomical drawings of bodies in motion with the limited technology available at the time are inspiring!

22.01.2022 Artworks I am working on - travelled to Berridale in snowy country - love those landscapes -

21.01.2022 This piece is one of my favourites in the upcoming showing at gallery 371 from October 10th. I wanted to employ bold colours because they enhance the drawing process. Its a hands on nuts and bolts approach - putting it down boldly, rubbing back and then attempting finesse. I do like the rough almost rustic feel. Its a fine line and it does help when you have a fantastic model like Arlia.

19.01.2022 This was a small wedding where my clients were Dutch traveling around Australia and decided to get hitched - go them !! . A couple of family/friends flew out and we got on a water taxi in Rose Bay and an 90 minutes later I left them to enjoy their first meal together at Doyles at Watsons Bay . The cute ceremony was at Strickland House in Vaucluse . They got a nice Magazine Album to take with them back to Holland . To me it shows what can happen with limited time and a small wedding . The photo's simply tell the story :)

16.01.2022 I photographed Pete and Sara's wedding about five years ago . Great people it was nice to see them again .

15.01.2022 This was a friday afternoon smaller wedding . The ceremony/reception was at South Maroubra Surf Club . The weather was amazingly bad - sideways rain , you couldn't see the ocean from the Surf Club . I suggested we travel to La Parouse in the hope of finding a protected spot . We got lucky there was a verandah in a small museum there . Got the light right and then bang ! I literally took these photo's in 3 minutes . It helps when the couple add lib and have some fun :)

14.01.2022 I like to take my drawing easel and subsequently my camera to Centennial Parklands in Sydney to produce artworks of some of the amazing trees there. Its become my happy place. I have named the ongoing series Spiders from Mars as a tribute to the late David Bowie. initially because while drawing there the news of his death came across the radio. Frankly many of the established trees in Centennial Park look like they could be from Mars !These and other works will be available on my web site.

14.01.2022 Centenial Park Tree " recent Artwork

14.01.2022 My Art practice represents a pursuit to understand, describe and thus translate my drawings through photography. The drawings are the template to my Cubistic Photographic Collages. Cubism was a major breakthrough in the history of Art. It was a different way of translating the visual. It heralded the beginning of abstraction but it also had a magnificent descriptive element. The possibilities are seemingly endless but the pursuit makes me smile on the inside.

13.01.2022 This was a big fun wedding . Lots of people having a great time . I was very busy but I find that I feed off the energy in the room . We found time to quickly duck up to Observatory Hill for some portraits which was very much worth the effort .

08.01.2022 This is a complete magazine album of Brad and Tash ready for print . They are happy wedding clients --

07.01.2022 These are some drawings I have done over the last little while - always challenging and learning from them even if the dont end up as finished artworks - particularly enjoy the foreshortening and the studies of hands and feet - it always fascinates my in a art group how different everyone is - drawing really is an extension of your artistic personality

07.01.2022 This was a big wedding that ended up in Darling Harbour . It rained but that didn't dampen the mood and besides the light was good . I shoot as much available light as I could in the Church - Flash photography in that scenario becomes one dimensional and intrusive - available light although harder to shoot gives better results .

06.01.2022 Recent drawings for up coming artworks - photos tomorrow- looking forward to them

06.01.2022 This is a recent Art Work of an E Type Jag . They are quite rightly regarded as one of the most gorgeous and stylish cars ever made . The flag gives a Pop Art feel which to me suits since its a '65 model .

06.01.2022 This is the latest Art Work I have been working on . I like Fig Trees . They seem to have their own character which evolves when they grow . To me they are a testament to life especially when depicted in my favourite medium : B/W photography in overcast conditions . Once I finished the drawing I chopped it up and turned it into a Cubistic Photographic Collage. The finished work is very complex and descriptive but to me strangely serene.

05.01.2022 This was an Art Work I made after a recent trip to Berlin. Great city very much alive with its Street Art and the iconic East German Trabant seemed like an appropriate subject for an Photographic Cubistic Collage !

04.01.2022 Doing a still life artwork of my stuff that was significant back in the day - when you intensely draw a Nikon FM2 coupled with a Metz flash goose bumps mate - Nikon fm2 was the best camera I ever operated without doubt - reliable workhorse that was purely manual - always told it what to do and it gave great results - and I shot with a Hasselblad for ten years

04.01.2022 Experimenting in the height of winter with big contrast and vivid colour - early days with this piece but its fun to pursue

04.01.2022 This Artwork was produced in Berridale, New South Wales, a township near Jindabyne in Australias Alpine region. I have always been fascinated by the rock formations around that area. So I put my easel, drawing board and camera on the back of the Harley and had an uplifting sojourn to Berridale. As an aside a copy of this work lives for sale in the The Berridale Inn as well as being available for sale on my web site.

03.01.2022 Go me sold this limited edition piece at the Glebe art show over the weekend !

03.01.2022 I took this photo about 20 years ago on my Hasselblad camera. Thats from a 120 or 2 1/4 negative which I developed in my converted kitchen/darkroom. The photo is of my late father. He always tipped his hat when I introduced him to a lady friend. A great characteristic from a time lost. In a roll of medium format you get 12 photos. Thats a lot of money time and energy for 12 photos! Dad was 83 at the time but was a very responsive model. We worked well together. This was the... last image on the roll and I knew in my minds eye I had something special. I remember being anxious waiting for the film to dry before I had a chance to print. Ahh those were the days. My Hasselblad with three gorgeous lenses cost me 20k in 95. Affording that meant humping a cab around Sydney for hundreds of hours. But hey it was worth it. So yes I am an old school photographer and yes I very much still have the passion for it !!! See more
