20.01.2022 Finals So this years finals has changed slightly. There is only 3 weeks of finals not 4 in previous years. So next week is Semi Finals (Elimination Final) where... we have Huonville vs Cygnet (3rd vs 6th) and South East vs University (4th vs 5th). Now the winners of those games go onto the Preliminary Final where Claremont and Lindisfarne are waiting as they get a week off. Then the winners of those game play off in the Grand Final. Now Venues for the Semi Finals game have not been set as SFL will get that sorted ASAP. But all I can say is WHO'S READY FOR WOMENS FINALS!!!.

The boys will play the winner of second elimination final between New Norfolk and Dodges Ferry for a spot in the grand final! The Port W : After a great back end of the season, the girls have managed to secure 6th spot in the finals after their last round bye caused them to drop from 4th on percentage! 13.01.2022 We’re now rolling into gambling awareness month but before we do, don’t forget the importance of road safety and mental health. Gambling is a part of most of our lives. From lottery tickets, including Port Lotto, casinos, keno and pokies, horses and greyhounds, sports betting online gaming, even raffle tickets and many other forms. Attached is A gambling self-assessment. See where your gambling habits sit. https://www.gamblinghelponline.org.au

11.01.2022 WILL FORD RETURNS TO THE PORT The Cygnet Football Club is very pleased to welcome the return of Will Ford from the OHA Ships after a two year stint in Geilston Bay! The Return of Ford is very exciting for our young backline, with a weath of experience over a successful career as a backman, the inclusion of Ford along side 2020 captian Adam Duggan will lead by example and develop a well drilled group. ... During Fords time at OHA, Ford played as a natural swing man, playing majority of his time within the backline as a close checking, hard to beat defender, but also making a strong impact within the forward line when required. Ford was a member of the 2020 OHA Premiership side which will help bring even further finals experience to a young backline. Will has been a very committed member within the preseason training group, helping develop the skills of the up and coming players as well as leading The Port’s campaign by example on the track. The Cygnet Football club is very pleased to welcome Will, his partner Tiana, their little one Freddie and the entire Ford Family back to The Port! #supporttheport

08.01.2022 He's back! Jamie Direen has been reappointed to coach Cygnet's Reserve side for the 2021 season. Jamie is looking forward a number of former Colts players progressing through the Reserve and Senior teams. Trent Cowen will be Jamie's assistant and Marc Gregory the team's manager. Thank you to all applicants.

03.01.2022 NATHAN DUGGAN RETURNS HOME The Cygnet Football Club is delighted to announce the return of Nathan Bluey Duggan to The Port for the 2021 season! Bluey played all his junior football with the Southern Storm, playing in the first Southern Storm football club premiership. Nathan was a highly decorated colts player, winning the 2016 Colts Best and Fairest, as well as making his Senior Debut in that same year. Nathan went on to captain the colts side in 2017, but spent the maj...ority of the season playing seniors. Nathan became a regular and valued member of The Port’s Senior side, playing the full 2018 and 2019 seasons as a close checking backman with exceptional voice! For the 2020 season, Bluey made the journey over to the Kingborough Tigers, to test himself at a higher level. In his year at the Tigers he was able to play games in the Seniors and the Development league and was a welcome addition to their club. The Port are delighted to announce his return and are excited to see what the 2021 season will bring for the hard running Bluey!

01.01.2022 Round 11 Ladder/Goal Kickers With the Roster games finally over we have Claremont finishing 1st undefeated with Lindisfarne close behind and they get the week o...ff. Then we have Huonville finish 3rd, South East 4th and University and Cygnet hold on to the 5th and 6th. Brighton make a shock exit this year after winning it last year and North Hobart and Kingborough who made finals last year miss out as well. Coagulations are in order for N.Daniels taking out the Goal kicking this year with 37 goals. So now we head to Finals and this years finals looks incredibly close this year then in past seasons.
