24.01.2022 WOAH IT’S FINALLY HERE! Hello everyone and welcome to a few months work, my 2021 calendar. After a few restarts and a change in editing software, I finally smashed together the final product to sell. The photos selected are some of my favourites over the last 2 years since my last calendar. The locations range between the snowy mountains, the south coast, Sydney and of course rignt here in Canberra.... As the year slowly ends, I feel that it’s better to put the post up now so there is plenty of time to gather numbers for orders and to process indervidual requests such as adding personalised dates etc. The cost for a calendar, right now, stands at $36 however as the year ends I will more than likely lower the price providing that the company I am using has some form of discount. All orders include free shipping and as listed before, personalised dates for if you would like to add an important date or a friend or family members birthday. 23.01.2022 Koala love Today’s trip out to Tidbinbilla brought out a showcase of different animals around the sanctuary including swans, lizards, frogs and a few red belly black snakes however the true highlight of the day was the koala with its newborn clinging to its back. After the deviation caused by the 2019-2020 fire season, it is amazing to be able to get up close to some one of the animals that were hardest hit by the fires. The nature reserve is a must visit especially if you ...are looking for something to do with spare time. Whether that’s going through the animal sanctuary or taking on one of the many walking trails, there is always something to do. 22.01.2022 Into the fog I have to say, Im impressed with my first attempt to take some shots in the fog last night that truly blanketed Canberra. Still got a lot to learn about how to truly perfect shots but for now Im more than happy with how this one especially turned out. 21.01.2022 Distant galaxys So, the first post off the new camera. This photo was taken off Bennetts beach at around 10:30pm and I have to say it performed incredibly well. Sadly there is a lot of light noise in the photo from Nelsons bay and the array of lighthouses from the many islands along the coast but overall I am incredibly happy with the outcome. I am excited to see what else I can achieve now I have some better performing equipment. Whilst this may be an older photo, the ability to do more in depth edits on my computer have allowed me to make the most of the photos I have taken, with this photo being one of my favourite. If look closely enough you will see the satellites shooting through the sky, which is a privilege of shooting photos so high up in Australia in the snowy mountain region. Having come home from a week away in Hawks Nest NSW, Ive been able to go through and properly have a look through and edit the hundreds of photos Ive taken and I am extremely happy with how this turned out. 04.01.2022 Inverted reality Ah good to be back in sydney, but it feels so different from when I was up in February. It seems a lot more empty and deserted which is completely understandable with the current circumstances however didnt stop me getting out with a camera and exploring what was to be explored. 03.01.2022 Back in the studio Have to say being back in the studio again is a lot of fun and with the help of some new remote sensors for the camera, the soft boxes and the dish, it makes it a lot easier to shoot photos. 02.01.2022 Today is world mental health day In a world like today we all get caught up in the rush of the busy day to day lives we all live and sometimes we forget to check in with ourselves, our mates and our family. One in five people between the age of 16 to 85 will experience mental health issues in any year with the most common people anxiety, depression and substance use disorder. With the talk of mental health comes suicide awareness and the early signs that someone around you... may not be feeling ok. Sadly each day 6 Australians will take their own life with a further thirty more people making an attempt too. Men are at greater risk of suicide and yet less likely to seek help for issues. Keep an eye out fo early warning signs such as a friend or family member not acting themselves or seeming a bit down after a recent life event. Mental health awareness shouldnt be kept to one day. Always think of yourselves in how you feel and what you do. If you feel like you are struggling, dont be afraid to speak up and voice yourself about it. It is never too early or too late to seek help from either a friend, family member or a trained professional whether that be a school physiologist or your GP. No one deserves to suffer in silence, no matter who you are or where you are from. All you need is one conversation to lead yourself or someone else on a path to getting the help they need. Always look out for signs of mental disorders in not only yourself but in your family and friends and if you are worried about someone close to you in crisis, lifeline is always open to help at 13 11 14 In life threatening emergencies always call 000
