24.01.2022 For the first time in our history, 20% of Queensland's energy generation is being sourced from renewables like solar and wind. Renewables are supporting househo...lds and businesses by helping deliver the lowest power prices on the east coast while also creating jobs and helping protect our environment. We will keep investing in renewables to put downward pressure on power prices and achieve our target of 50% renewables by 2030.
22.01.2022 The Greens have never been held to account for their environmental vandalism in blocking my govt’s attempt to increase our national ambition and give business certainty. A decade of inaction. As our former top public servant says, Well done, Greens.
19.01.2022 Goodna, Redbank Plains, Springfield etc.
18.01.2022 With community transmission still happening in VIC and NSW, the pandemic is far from over. Strong leadership protected Qld against this dangerous virus. The LNP would open the borders to COVID and put all that at risk.
18.01.2022 MASSIVE NEW QLD WIND FARM LAW PASSED We’ve passed legislation in Parliament to build one of the largest grid-connected wind farms in the Southern Hemisphere her...e in Queensland. I spoke firmly in favour of the bill as Forest Wind has the potential to power one in four Queensland homes and acts on climate change. It could create more than 400 construction jobs and many operational jobs in the Wide Bay region in years to come. Projects like this are vital when it comes to rebuilding our economy and creating jobs. Forest Wind would also keep downward pressure on power prices for thousands of Queenslanders.
18.01.2022 A decent write up. A magnificent Trade Unionist not afraid to take on the big issues.
17.01.2022 After 2020 the one thing working people need certainty. Slashing wages isn't the answer.
15.01.2022 Queensland's Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young said a health alert has been issued for Virgin flight VA-962 from Brisbane to Sydney on Monday August 17 and anyone who dined at Greenslopes cafe The Jam Pantry on August 16.
14.01.2022 ABC election analyst Antony Green says he cannot see how the LNP can win the state election. LIVE BLOG: https://ab.co/2TM9AIZ LIVE RESULTS: https://ab.co/35P8fXI

14.01.2022 No girl should have to worry about not being able to afford period products. We're teaming up with Share the Dignity to deliver free sanitary products plus a Period Talk education program. This $2.5 million investment will make a big difference to students across Queensland.
13.01.2022 Urgent protection measures are in place after an increase of COVID-19 cases were reported in Queensland. In Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan City, Scenic Rim, Somerset,... Lockyer Valley, Moreton Bay, and Redlands, gatherings in people’s homes and outdoors are limited to 10 people. Everywhere else, gatherings in people’s homes and outdoors are limited to 30 people. Venues and events following COVID Safe Industry Plans can continue operating. Visits to aged care and disability accommodation services in Greater Brisbane, Ipswich and surrounds will be limited. Emergency departments will be required to use PPE to treat all patients and hospital visitors will be limited as soon as possible. Please stay safe: maintain social distancing, keep up good hand hygiene and stay home if you’re sick. #covid19
13.01.2022 Could you imagine trying to learn in this heat without any fans or air-conditioning? FULL STORY: https://ab.co/3mweRRJ Newly installed air-conditioning units ...in Queensland classrooms are unusable because school electrical networks cannot cope. Maree, a primary school teacher on Brisbane's northside, said her classroom's air-conditioning units were installed a week before the October election. The ceiling fans were ripped out to make way for the units that cannot be turned on.
11.01.2022 Former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has thrown his support behind Queensland’s strict COVID measures, which have been subject to recent criticism. Let me tell yo...u what it’s like living in a city like New York, where they threw health security to the wind - it was a complete debacle. www.7NEWS.com.au #7NEWS
11.01.2022 Our local COVID clinics in West Moreton are offering expanded testing this weekend, so please get a test if you have any symptoms: fever, cough, sore throat, sh...ortness of breath, runny nose, fatigue, loss of taste or smell. There is an extra pop up clinic in the Salvation Army Church Hall, Coal Street, Bundamba, 9am-4.30pm, on Saturday and Sunday. No appointment is needed, but please dress for the weather and think about bringing a snack and drink in case there is a wait. The walk-in clinic at Ipswich Hospital is open from 9.15am to 8pm on Saturday and Sunday. The Gatton Hospital COVID clinic is open by appointment from 8am to 8pm all weekend. Extensive testing has been conducted over the past two days after a Brisbane Youth Detention Centre worker, who resides in Bundamba, tested positive for COVID-19. Appointments are also needed at the three GP-led clinics at Karalee, Purga and Booval, and people can see their GPs for a referral to a private pathology lab. For the full list of COVID clinics in West Moreton, visit the West Moreton Health website: http://20.188.212.254/coronavirus
10.01.2022 Exciting news! Our Palaszczuk Labor Government is investing $500 million in a new Renewable Energy Fund for Queensland. This means more jobs and clean, affordable, reliable energy for Queenslanders as we unite and recover from COVID-19.
10.01.2022 You can’t make this stuff up. Deb Frecklington moved a motion last night in parliament to force us to adopt her school aircon plan. Their plan is by 2028 vs ours is by 2022 and includes solar. On 31 October, which plan will you chose for your kids? #DonDelivers
07.01.2022 Just one of a set of good policy announcements from Albo supporting job security and workers rights.
06.01.2022 #BREAKING: The ABC projects Annastacia Palaszczuk has been returned as Premier of Queensland. STORY: https://ab.co/3mG0J8h We can’t see the LNP forming governm...ent, Chief Election Analyst Antony Green said. The best they can do is get back to the position they were in before the election. The Labor Party will be in office after the election. It is not yet clear if it will be a minority or majority Labor Government.

02.01.2022 Congratulations to Lance McCallum MP - Labor for Bundamba on this great win!
01.01.2022 So, it is really important that we minimise the number of people who get this disease. Not just the number who are going to die from it, but the number who get it. That is really, really important.
