24.01.2022 Today at 5:40pm Darnum Ellinbank fire brigade alongside many other volunteer CFA will pay their respects to the police officers tragically killed in the line of duty last week by sounding the sirens four times at their stations across the state.

All applications require a site visit by a CFA Officer prior to approval so depending on how many applications we have as to the timeframe for issuing permits if approved. 19.01.2022 Down tools tomorrow Fire Danger Ratings will be elevated across the state tomorrow with a Total Fire Ban declared for the entire state of Victoria. These c...onditions will mean if a fire starts it will be difficult to control and spread quickly. We see over summer fires started by machinery in dry grass so avoid slashing or mowing. 08.01.2022 Today at 10:33 am this morning the brigade was called to a tractor fire in the Cloverlea area with support from Warragul, Yarragon and Trafalgar. It was the effort and quick response from all parties involved to prevent the situation become worse and spreading. This is also a visual reminder to still be aware of the possibilities that come with agricultural work with machinery in the warmer months.... 07.01.2022 Earlier today the brigade went to oversee a planed and registered burn off by one of the local farmers who rang up for assistance for peace of mind and asset protection. We also had crew from Warragul join us so their new members could get a first hand experience of how hot temperatures can reach. Thank you to everyone for a great morning and to Warragul Fire brigade for joining.

03.01.2022 Over the weekend we experienced an increase in CFA Brigades attending escaped burn-offs in our area. Here is an informational video on how to burn off safely to reduce the incidents in the area so ourselves and other brigades can attend other emergencies and for the safety of the community.

01.01.2022 The Darnum and Ellinbank fire brigade worked along side with Nilma North, Warragul, Yarragon and Halora brigades on the first and second of November for structure fire training on a controlled house burn at Bull Swamp Rd. The aim for the activity was to maintain skills for structural firefighting as well as to clear up land on the homeowners property. The brigade would like to thank the land owner, brigade members and neighboring brigades to help make this training event happen and run successfully.
