17.01.2022 Dr. Gaudencio J. Gadil is one of our newest paediatricians to join our team, Dr JR for short. He was working as a General Paediatrician in the Philippines and the Sultanate of Oman before coming to Australia. He completed 4 years of training in Neonatology in Westmead Hospital, NSW (2 years) and Monash Medical Centre in Victoria (2 years) before moving to Darwin where he settled after finishing his training in General Paediatrics at the Royal Darwin Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital for Children in Perth. He is most interested in neonatology and Community Paediatrics dealing with general paediatric conditions and children with behavioural and learning difficulties. Dr JR is available in the Clinic Wednesdays & every second Thursday between 9:00am to 4:00pm

10.01.2022 Meet Dr Tait Dr Robert Tait is a specialist paediatrician at both Royal Darwin Hospital and Darwin Private Hospital. He is also a visiting paediatrician to Gove District hospital. Dr Tait is the founding doctor of Darwin Paediatrics, which opened at Darwin Private Hospital in 2014. Dr Tait completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. Following this, he spent time working in Tygerberg hospital in Cape Town, a...nd following that, two years in Northern KwaZula -Natal (Border of South Africa and Mozambique), where he obtained his diploma in HIV management. In 2008, Dr Tait came to Sydney, where he went on to complete his paediatric specialist training at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick. During his training, Dr Tait also spent time working at the British Columbia Children’s hospital in Vancouver. Dr Tait is Chairman of both the Northern Territory State Committee of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and the Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) for Darwin Private Hospital. He was also recently appointed to sit on the National College Council Committee of RACP. See more

03.01.2022 Have you met Dr Martin yet? Simone Martin is a General Paediatrician who has moved from Victoria to enjoy the warmer climate of the Top End. After graduating in Medicine from Monash University (Melbourne), she undertook her Paediatric training, as well as additional training in Neonatology, in various locations around Victoria and in Dublin, Ireland. She has completed a Masters of Public Health and Tropical Medicine through James Cook University (Townsville), and is working t...owards qualifications in Neonatal Ultrasound. Her specific areas of interest are newborn medicine, unsettled babies, child development, and helping children born early reach their full potential. She appreciates being part of the support team for her patients and their families, in collaboration with allied health specialists and other colleagues.
