25.01.2022 When it's not driving you crazy, the 21st century is a pretty good time to be alive. Need something that doesn't exist? Print it off between making dinner and streaming The Mandalorian

22.01.2022 Given the current restrictions I thought I'd remind everyone that I don't actually need to come to your place to fix your I.T. problems! So long as you have a working internet connection there are very few issues that I can't sort out for you from the comfort of my office desk using a variety of secure connection types

22.01.2022 There's an old saying that says "It's not what you know, it's who you know" I'm not sure I agree. This is a small selection of tools and adapters I use regularly in my workshop to make sure that when your computer returns to you after being upgraded or serviced that it is working at it's best.

20.01.2022 Well that was well timed! I had a Covid test on Thursday for reasons unrelated to the restrictions announced today. So... I'm Covid free and available to sort out your I.T. issues :)

19.01.2022 Macbook upgrades seem to be the flavour this week! Increasing your Macbooks Solid State Drive capacity will upgrade performance as well as your operating system so you have the benefits of speed, security and convenience If you've been trying to install OS updates but it's just not happening, get in touch. With the release of OS Big Sur many clients are finding their Macbook storage capacity isn't allowing them to update however... I can fix that for you.

18.01.2022 It's time for David to pack up the toys and get back to work. If your I.T. needs fixing/upgrading or repairing give me a call :)It's time for David to pack up the toys and get back to work. If your I.T. needs fixing/upgrading or repairing give me a call :)

16.01.2022 Best new years video yet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fn3KWM1kuAw

14.01.2022 Starting on the 27th I'm accompanying my ladyfriend on a trip north to destinations with limited phone coverage but (hopefully) plenty of flathead and bream. I'll most likely be back in a week but if you are planning your major I.T. crises or upgrades it would be great if you could schedule them to occur prior to the 27th

14.01.2022 I.T. support in air conditioned rooms a specialty this summer.

13.01.2022 I met some lovely new clients today, Snow and Sheba

12.01.2022 The cooling fans and internals of a 2016 and 2012 iMac are getting a clean out on the workbench at the moment. Their Solid State Drive upgrades will be completed in the next couple of days and they will both be way better than new, in most respects outperforming their cousins languishing on the shelf at the retailers. Feel free to get in touch if you'd like more info

11.01.2022 Hi people. I'm on the hunt for an unused skateboard to cannibalise the wheel bearings to make a roll holder for my 3D printer. If anyone has one in a garage/cupboard I'd be happy to collect

10.01.2022 It looks like my client at The Gap dodged a bullet. All photos and important files are currently being recovered from her failed hard drive.

09.01.2022 Here is a 2014 iMac booting in 24 seconds, which may not sound that impressive until you compare it to the 4 minute bootup prior to upgrading. I'll be dropping it back to the owner in the morning after collecting it thisafternoon. All she will need to do is enter her Apple ID and password to start enjoying the massive performance increase.

07.01.2022 Arrrgh the Y Axis on the 3D printer stopped working! After bit of hunting for a replacement motor and some jiggery pokery with the screwdriver we're back in business!

05.01.2022 On Wednesday I finally got around to taking a load to the good folks at Ewaste Connection Ltd for recycling. From memory there were about 8 laptops, three desktop computers, one iMac and three All in One style computers along with 20 - 30 hard drives and a few shopping bags full of assorted dead electronics. Of course I "nuked" the hard drives of any data for my clients before sending them for recycling. Waste is one of the very few things I dislike about the I.T. industry so I really appreciate the work they do and the people they support.

04.01.2022 Where in the world is David Fisher the I.T. Guy???

04.01.2022 While returning and setting up an upgraded laptop in The Gap today I met Tom the Devon Rex. I thought Burmese were attention mongers! They have nothing on this guy

03.01.2022 I was back at Gregor's place today sorting out his human's computers. I probably should have taken some pics of the gaming computers I upgraded with new video cards and liquid cooling but Gregor is so much more photogenic than a computer

02.01.2022 It's days like this I'm glad I don't do tech support for Coles. It's time to earn that six figure pay cheque guys. https://www.news.com.au///c4f4ad415ddabd9095994063e103c17f
