25.01.2022 Switching to 100% accredited GreenPower is a great way to support new investment in renewable energy, however a carbon audit will go one step further and measure your carbon footprint so you can reduce your emissions. . You can self certify or engage an external auditor. Check out the Architects Declare Guide to Going Carbon Neutral, theyve done the hard work so you dont have to. . 23.01.2022 One of my first projects, a renovation for my mother, this image shows the deep marble bench extending into the bay window in the kitchen, bringing beautiful natural light into a Victorian terrace. The pottery in the image is an Arabia teapot from Finland and a ceramic tree sculpture by artist and family friend from Israel, Agi Yoeli. Agi was a Holocaust survivor from Auschwitz. She was a young woman when liberated from the concentration camps. The allied forces arrived with trucks full of clothing and supplies. Her sensible sister, gathered soap and warm clothing, Agi however, found a dress amongst the clothes and departed the darkest chapter of her life wearing a magnificent black taffeta ball gown. An inspirational women and artist. #agiyoeli @johnkemp1964

20.01.2022 This image is from several years ago, the courtyard garden has now been paved and planted, the kids in the image are bigger, now in high school. The low bridge leads to the rear pavilion, it houses the study and parents zone. It worked well for me as a home office with small kids, now it is used by my teens as a study. It has been a month now of Stay at home. How are we travelling? This week has been pretty tough, my youngest, aged 13, is struggling with the home schooling,... self motivation and being separated from his friends. How can you work in front of a computer all day mum? I hate it! He also said, This has been the longest week of my life, it has gone so slowly!! A sentiment that I am sure we all share at the moment!! However, despite these understandable frustrations, he has found a positive and gives us regular animated updates on stories about wildlife reclaiming spaces that are usually dominated by humans. #crisis #opportunity #deliateschendorffarchitecture #WFH #covid_19 #bridgehouse1 Photo by @johnkemp See more

13.01.2022 At the start of the year, along with over 500 architects around the country, we shared our commitment to going carbon neutral in 2020. We acknowledge that a lot has happened since then, however its important to remain committed to getting our own houses in order. . In January, the first step was to switch to 100% accredited GreenPower. The next step is to start a carbon audit by June 30.... .
