15.01.2022 Come along to learn a new and exciting technique for making jewellery with a simple method in creating 99.9 % fine silver pieces to adorn your body. This course will be run as a 6 hour workshop with full instruction and you will produce 2 to 4 pieces to take home.... Silver Metal Clay is a revolutionary new medium from Japan, which allows you to create 99.9% pure silver jewellery. It consists of very small particles of silver mixed with an organic binder and water. The metal clay can be moulded, textured, carved and sculpted; it is then fired with a torch or fired in a kiln to transform it into silver. During this class you will be able to create two to four pieces of jewellery depending on thesize and will introduce you to the infinite possibilities of this medium. WHEN: Wednesday 31st July, 2019 WHERE: Unit 15/1 iolanthe Street, Bassendean, Western Australia, 6050 TIME: 1000 to 1600 COST: $235.00 (includes 30gms of silver art clay @ $75.00 and equipment) All tools will be supplied (except) see below: The student is welcome to bring things they have that are textured, such as lace, wallpaper, shells, rubber stamps, etc to use to impress into the clay. What will be supplied in this workshop Tools I will supply: Cookie cutters File sandpaper paintbrushes firingbricks acrylic rollers to roll out the clay olive oil bowls to contain the oil What Students NEED to supply: A butane blowtorch, one would use in the kitchen or a home handy blowtorch and their own bottle of butane to refill it. Techniques Include: Learning about the clay Explore textures with natural objects and texture sheets Rolling, cutting, forming the clay into a jewellery item Drying, sanding and refining Drilling the clay Learn how to hand fire your clay with a butane torch Learn about patina and oxidising How to correctly finish and polish the piece PARKING: for two cars in my driveway and three cars across the road on Colgoola Brace ( near corner of Collier Road ). 03.01.2022 Hi all So Manchester United will be in town this day to play Perth Glory, but that’s at night. So before you head into Optus stadium, why not come along to this beforehand. Only four more days to go before the doors open for this event. If you’re looking for some vintage or collectible treasures, come along.... I will be manning the entrance, Stephen will have a stall along with 11 other stall holders. Looking forward to seeing all of you or some of you as the case might be.
