Congratulations also to Captain Daniel Louka, who was awarded MVP for the season.

18.01.2022 Last Friday, Fr Epeli from the Sydney Archdiocese Vocations Roadshow visited Year 10 in their pastoral lesson. This was to provide an authentic learning opportunity to enhance their understanding of Sacraments of the Service of Communion being studied in the RE Program.

18.01.2022 Today, Mr Ghantous gave a presentation to all of Year 12 about the importance of hard work in the lead-up to their Trial HSC and final HSC exams. 14.01.2022 On Tuesday August 18, award-winning Australian poet Steven Herrick performed a selection of his poetry to our Year 7 students via Zoom. Due to restrictions, Steven wasn’t able to present in person, however, the boys still thoroughly enjoyed his witty and amusing poems. The boys were spirited in their response to Steven’s support of the Brisbane Broncos enjoying the opportunity to interact with Steven throughout the performance and asking him thoughtful questions at the end. A...fter the performance, Year 7 was invited to write a Steven Herrick-inspired poem. The winners of the competition are: Elijah C., Geordy G., Fletcher M., Alexander P. and Noah S. Congratulations to all the boys who entered and well done to the winners for their creative and entertaining poems!

10.01.2022 Congratulations to Year 12 student Leo Le, who was awarded the Archbishops Award for Student Excellence today. Leo has made an exceptional contribution to the College and to Vietnamese Catholic Community of St Lukes, Revesby. He exemplifies servant leadership as he enhances the religious life of the College as a Lasallian Youth Leader, Prefect and ACYF participant. Leo has undertaken the ministry of lector, altar serving and hospitality at Parish and College Masses and pat...iently leads youth group for 5-7 year olds before Mass each week. Leo has made an immeasurable contribution to the liturgical life of the College through sharing his technical gifts in compiling and editing our liturgy videos for Holy Week, Easter and Founders Day celebrations which encouraged active participation and enabled the community to be united in prayer despite Covid. Leos generosity of heart is further embodied in his extensive community service through the Christian Mission, Faith in Action service program. Leo proclaims the Gospel by his life and lives his faith authentically in a remarkably humble yet powerful way.

10.01.2022 It has been great to welcome many of the boys back to school this week! In addition to Year 12 now back full time, student attendance at the College for face to face classes in Years 7 to 11 over the next few weeks is outlined below.

09.01.2022 This morning, Peter Mulholland was invited to the College to speak with our Year 11 and 12 students. Peter is currently the Recruitment Manager at the Canberra Raiders, but is well-known and respected across the whole Rugby League community. Peters message of resilience, character and legacy certainly struck a chord with the boys, particularly in the context of his own current personal challenges; which he was very transparent about. Our senior students were inspired by his presentation and candour, and took many life lessons from Pete.

08.01.2022 The past two terms have been an amazing journey for the Year 8 Italian classes. The boys have displayed passion and an openness to learning a new language. In this challenging year, students have risen to this challenge and this culminated in celebrating an Italian meal together in our own little "piazza with "Pizza in the Piazza Day". As part of this Italian experience, our students were provided with their own scrumptious traditional Italian style pizza, gelato and Italian... sparkling water beverages. Students soaked up the Italian culture with some fine tunes from the Amalfi coast and our own decked out piazza with Italian props to give them that special Mediterranean feeling. Bellissimo! A huge thanks to Mr Logue, Mr Ghantous, Ms Booth, Mrs Chisholm, Mrs Gillon, Ms Fricker, Mrs Copeland, Ms Doyle, Mr Leonardi, Elias Tahhan, Thomas Hearne (SRC), Andrea Casella, Mark Bishara, Sarkis Massad, Patrick Dawes, Lucas Pengue, Joshua Mansour and all the Year 8 students who assisted Mr El Khoury in making this a special day for our school. Grazie mille!

08.01.2022 To celebrate St. Patricks Day today, Year 11 ran our Green Day fundraiser. An annual event during the Lenten season, the whole school had the opportunity to wear green mufti for a donation and, this year, Year 11 students and their parents provided a wide range of green food for sale at recess. The mufti money raised as well as that from sales of plenty of green cupcakes, jelly cups, donuts, green cakes and the like, allowed us to raise a total $1,252.20 for Caritas Australia. We thank everyone for their contributions and generosity.

07.01.2022 Year 12 students will be returning to school from Monday, May 4. Please click the link below for more information. https://drive.google.com//1OKXr74zSqUoHeJbDTxYYV12p3a/view

06.01.2022 Our 2 unit Year 11 Studies of Religion students had their incursion moved to online today. They enjoyed being able to interact virtually with the presenter.

06.01.2022 As a contingency some weeks ago, our Prefects recorded our Holy Week Liturgy to share with the College community. So today, even though we are physically separated, we can connect in Spirit. We didnt have time for the choir to be ready, or for multiple takes, but we warmly invite you to simply pray with us as the Body of Christ. Thanks to Leo Le for embedding the slides. https://youtu.be/H_Et3ebYEmI

06.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who came to visit us today for a great Open Day!

06.01.2022 Year 11 Ancient History students travelled out to The Rocks yesterday to visit an archaeological site called The Big Dig. The boys also went to Dawes Point and got to see the gun powder rooms that are underground there as well.

06.01.2022 It has been great to see so many staff and Year 12 students here at school for holiday tutorial classes. Today, we had a lot of Industrial Technology students in working on their projects.

05.01.2022 Last term Year 8 Visual Arts students created self-portraits in the style of Cubism. By fragmenting, distorting and including two perspectives in the one drawing, students mimicked the style of pivotal artists such as Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque. Well done to the Year 8 students who worked on the task diligently!

05.01.2022 Today the College community marked the start of Lent with our Ash Wednesday Mass. The various initiatives to support Caritas through Project Compassion were also announced. Fr Salas presided for us, and Mr Rogers led our Choir, with the Prefects responsible for the Lectorship Ministry.

05.01.2022 Year 7 have had a great time at their camp!

04.01.2022 Happy Founders Day! While Founders Day 2020 was not a regular celebration, it was still a great day that showcased what makes our College such a wonderful community. The day included a recorded liturgy led by the LYLs, a BBQ lunch and a Staff vs. Students Basketball game (won by the Students!) to lift our spirits and support our Lasallian partners.

04.01.2022 Our wonderful Prefects have recorded a Liturgy of the Word to share with you in this Easter Season. Our prayer and liturgical life continue on despite our physical separation as we pray with one heart. https://youtu.be/JEfDttA73ls

03.01.2022 What will Term 2 look like? For the first two weeks of Term 2, the College will continue as we finished Term 1. There will be no formal lessons held at the College and students will continue to learn from home as they were during the last few weeks of Term 1.... It is important to note that Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th of April will be Staff Development days - online lessons will resume on Wednesday 29th of April. The College will be open for students whose parents are unable to supervise students at home, however parents are encouraged to keep their children at home where practical. If students attend the College in weeks 1 and 2, they will be supervised to complete the same online learning activities that are also being completed by students at home. There will be a limited number of staff on site for supervision during the first two weeks of the term. We are currently planning the best options for a phased return to onsite face to face learning at the College from the beginning of week 3 (Monday 11th of May). When a plan is developed, we will communicate this with parents and carers. The College arrangements for Term 2 are intended to enable sufficient physical distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to ensure the protection of all our staff and students. We are still accepting enrolments applications for 2021 and 2022. Completed enrolment applications can be sent to the College via email ([email protected]), regular mail or in person to the College administration office. Thank you for your continuing support as we all work together to keep each other as safe as possible.

02.01.2022 Year 10 Visual Arts students have been working hard over the last term to create drawings and lino prints based on the theme Vanitas. Vanitas is a 17th-century style of still life painting that includes symbolic objects to remind the viewer of the worthlessness of worldly pleasures. Congratulations to the Year 10 students for the hard work and diligence with this artmaking task.

02.01.2022 Many in the DLS community would be aware that Year 11 student Alexander Trajanoski has been training and playing with the Central Coast Mariners’ Football Club in their 18s side this year. Due to his ongoing hard work and sacrifice, Alex was invited to train with the 20s/First Grade side a couple of weeks ago, with the view to playing in the 20s and possibly First Grade next year. Obviously, Alex is excited about this opportunity and the effort that he is putting into his tr...aining is clearly paying off. This is a well-deserved development; we wholeheartedly congratulate Alex on his success and will continue to monitor and report on his progress with interest!

01.01.2022 Year 7 had a great day at Sutherland Leisure Centre for their PDHPE aquatics excursion!
