You go to sleep, we do all the work, and wake you up when it's all done. How much easier can it be? You will have a very enjoyable day. Most of the time, we can combine many treatments into just one session. However, as is the case with root canal treatment, crowns and implants, several sessions m...ight be required. To be kind on your hip pocket, I usually advise to do follow up sessions under oral sedation, and most patients manage just fine this way. What is the cost for sleep dentistry? In addition to the fee for your dental treatment, an anaesthetist will charge for their service. Typically they charge anywhere from $700 - $850 per hour, so the total fee will be determined by the duration of the procedure. The good news, if general anaesthetic is administered by a qualified medical anaesthetist, you will get a Medicare rebate for twilight dentistry. 09.01.2022 Ok, so it feels intuitive to give your teeth a good scrub, right? After all they work hard every day to crush food, bathing in tea, coffee and red wine. You want to give them a good scrub at the end of each day in order to get all the stains off and keep them squeaky clean. So you buy the hardest tooth brush from the supermarket so that it can do a really good job. STOP right there! The purpose of tooth brushing is not scrub the dirt off your pearly whites but to gently remov...e bacterial plaque deposits that builds up daily and cause marginal gingivitis and periodontitis (gum diseases). Plaque is soft but sticky. It be easily removed using the right brushing technique and a soft toothbrush. If fact, if you use a hard brush, you will scrub enamel away. I see too many people damaging their teeth with this good intention. Please, please, please, next time you buy a new toothbrush, go for soft. There is not need to splash out. Save your money for something else. Hard toothbrushes are really good for getting into those hard to get corners on your kitchen bench but not for brushing your teeth. See more

07.01.2022 For an implant to be successfully placed, there needs to be sufficient bone in which to anchor the implant. When a tooth is extracted or lost, bone in that area begins to recede, most recession occurs in the first three to twelve months after extraction and slowly continues for years after. This is why it is optimal to proceed with implants three to four months after the tooth is removed. If the placement is delayed, there is a pretty good chance that the bone will need to b...e regenerated with a procedure that is called a bone graft. I always call grafts miracles, because were trying to grow bone where its not supposed to be. Its like growing an ear on your forehead but, it works.
