25.01.2022 The Emu children have shown a big interest in blocks, building, and construction. Our creative friends have been using so many open ended recourses to construct amazing buildings and towers. Today we discussed famous buildings from around the world such as the Taj Mahal, The Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We placed a booklet of famous buildings at our building and construction areas and the children did an incredible job at manipulating their resources to build their famous creations existing or new. This a great way for children to explore loose parts in play and open-ended materials. Great work Emu’s

18.01.2022 Happy Chinese New Year! In celebration of Chinese New Year the Emu children enjoyed a cooking experience with our chef Thomas as they made delicious dumplings! This was a special experience for our Emu children as we explore different cultural foods. This experience was a fantastic was for the children to practice their fine motor skills as they stuffed and folded the dumplings. We can’t wait to enjoy them for afternoon tea today.... A big thank you to our chef Thomas for visiting our room and helping us make our delicious dumplings!

16.01.2022 This week our kookaburras have been very busy doing a lot of artwork for Valentine day and Chinese New year. Children showed a great deal of focus and concentration while making the love hearts for their loved ones. While doing this artwork, the educator asked the children who are they making a card for, and whom they love the most. A few children said that they love their siblings, while others said they love the whole family, friends and teachers

04.01.2022 Oh what a beautiful morning it has been. The Parrot children have been engaged in multiple play experiences to make the most of the day before it got very hot. The children have been making new friendships with their peers and strengthening their existing friendships too. Mason J said, I am making soup for everyone.
