24.01.2022 There will be a committee meeting this Wednesday and a decision will be made regarding the botany rnd a notice will be put up either late Wednesday night or Thursday

23.01.2022 ECBS 2020 Well as all know we had to cancel Lake Macquarie and are now pushing ahead to fish the next round at Botany Bay. Entry form and details are on website. We need teams to register asap so we know if the event has support.... We have set the following plans for the rest of 2020. If Botany Round goes ahead we will run Grand Final based on top 30 teams for the 3 rounds. If we have to cancel Botany we will still run the event in November on Sydney Harbour but open it up to any team that has fished at least one event this year. Entry will be $200 per team but 100% of entry will go back as prize money for this event Plus our club will put up 2 x $500 cash prizes as a lucky team draw for teams that do not finish in the first 3 positions. If this round is run and we get 50 teams prize money will be $5000 first, $3000 second, $2000 third plus 2 cash prizes of $500 for any other team entered We take this opportunity to thank all teams that have fished our events this year and we hope that we can finish this year out on the water. 23.01.2022 Looks good for a wet ass tomorrow mid 40s field may even push 50 with entries in the morning pretty blood good considering all this rubbish going on at the moment Please be patient with us in the morning we will be doing our best to get everyone registered as quick as we can with limited numbers being allowed to register at one time Mick

21.01.2022 East Coast Bream Series. We have had to make further changes to our series. Firstly Botany Round on 21st June has had to be postponed. The calendar is now August Hawkesbury round will remain as is. September round Lake Macquarie remains as is. Botany round will replace grand final date. Grand Final will move to 15th November Sydney Harbour. We are sorry to make these changes but Covid restrictions are not being lifted fast enough. We will post start list in the next week so far and please ask questions or advise if we have listed incorrectly.

18.01.2022 Unfortunately we have not received council permission for amended date and venue changes for the rest of the year so we have to cancel both Botany round and Grand Final round We apologise for the late notice but indications were that all would be good. That has not materialised and we now have to cancel the rest of this year. All money paid will be refunded but we will need your bank details emailed (no facebook posting of bank details) so we can deposit any money owed. We ap...ologise for this entire year as we have tried very hard to get our series run. From our point of view running a fishing series is not the easiest thing to do but when you throw in a year like 2020 it has been a complete nightmare as we have had to respond to daily changes. 14.01.2022 Due to current Coved 19 virus and all government regulations we have decided to postpone round 2 event on St George's Basin. We probably could have run the event but do not to want to risk any further infections. We are hoping to run round 2 in June. We will post up On face book as we know more. For those that have paid entry we can either refund money or transfer to the next round you fish. Please just advise your preference and details via email [email protected] At this stage round 3 is still on but unfortunately there are no certainties hope all teams understand and will continue to support our series when we are back on track

12.01.2022 Hi all, Due to to the COVID-19 situation and the government regulations on travel we've made the difficult decision to postpone Rd 2 on St Georges Basin. We will attempt to run the event on the 2nd June 2020. For those that have paid entry we can either refund the entry fee or you can transfer to another round. Please reach out to us on wsbreambass@gmail to confirm your preference. At this stage, Rd 3 is still on, however in the current situation we cannot be certain. Hope all teams understand and will continue to support the series when we're back on track.

10.01.2022 Hi guys, brief update on refunds. As you can imagine there’s a lot of teams waiting for refunds, which amounts to several thousands of $$$. Our clubs bank accounts are fairly well locked down in that we need minimum of 2 people to sign cheques and have NO internet banking. So we’ve deposited a cheque into the treasurers account and he will transfer the funds once the cheque clears (hoping by this Friday). Please bear with us, we should be transferring your entry fees back to you shortly. Darren

07.01.2022 Hi to all Hope everyone has been safe and well during this dammed pandemic. 2020 has been a crap year so far and hopefully we are starting to turn the corner.... We are putting plans in place to recommence the East Coast bream Series in June. The format we are working on is to reduce the series to 4 rounds. We have cancelled the St George Basin Round for the year. Moving the Botany round to 21st June with the Hawkesbury & Lake Macquarie rounds stay as is in August & September. Grand Final in October as planned. We will be making changes to running June event in as much as registration and briefing will be modified to ensure social distancing. Teams will be expected to remain on boat at starting location and start will be done from water. Weigh in will also be done to maintain social distancing and we will not have formal presentation at event. All results will be published on website and all winners will be notified. We hope all teams understand that it has been very difficult to plan this series and we are still at the mercy of the health experts as to whether we can implement this plan so we are subject to changes. We are sure that all are eager to get back on the water. If you are fishing this event please complete the round 3 entry form and email in as usual with payment. If you have already paid for round 2 just fill out entry form and email back. Starting order will based on payment date so if you have paid for round 2 and are fishing round 3 you start position will remain. The start times and location remain as on entry form only the date will change. 04.01.2022 Hi all, update on refunds for the series. We've transferred refunds to over half of the field this afternoon, those that have received refunds should have received emails as well. The money should be in your accounts within a day or 2. Teams who've not received an email please contact us on [email protected] and well will do our best to respond. We know we still have several teams who are entitled to refunds.

02.01.2022 Unfortunately new regulations regarding Covid 19 will prevent us from travelling to Lake Macquarie to run the event. The regulations also stop us from moving the event elsewhere Unfortunately Round 3 of the East Coast Bream Series will be cancelled' At this stage we are still planning to run the Botany Round and the Grand Final but we will have to wait and see.
