13.01.2022 Eastbound Hounds is a premium pet care company based in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs specialising in dog walking, pet sitting and doggy daycare. We are looking for a full-time pack leader to work Monday-Friday, walking dogs (in a group and one-on-one) and assisting with doggy daycare and pet sitting enquiries. The role will involve driving short distances from one client to another to collect the dogs and then drive to the park to take a small group out for an off-leash walk (up ...to 4 dogs). You will take photos and provide updates to the client on each walk and on drop-off offer little touches that the client has requested such as filling up water bowls, putting on aircon/tv/radio etc. Essential Criteria: * experience handling, and knowledge of, different dog breeds * your own car and full, clean driving license * current NSW Police check * ability to handle high pressure situations with pawsome problem solving skills * a good sense of humour for city traffic and tight parking spaces * excellent communication skills with both people and pets * a smart phone for taking pictures and using apps that provide daily work schedules Please send resume and cover letter outlining your response to the essential criteria as above to [email protected]

02.01.2022 #Adoption Applications Open for McDuff No interstate adoptions due to his anxiety #Apply Here: http://www.friendlyk9rescue.com/forms/adoptionform/ *McDuff 2 y...ears Old English Sheep Dog x Poodle *Low Shedding dog that will require hygiene grooms every 6 weeks and full grooms approx 10-12 weeks (Please be aware of ongoing costs) and daily brushing *Has grown up with brother so has Litter mate syndrome ( Please research) *McDuff will have loose bowel motions when stressed. *McDuff does have anxiety. This may improve over time but there is no guarantees. He is currently on anxiety powders and stress treats. *McDuff is easily stimulated and will bark at birds, planes, sirens, buses, movement outside of fence that can be seen *McDuff needs to be allowed indoor/outdoor as he pleases. *McDuff needs a person home, basically full time to start with. As he settles into a home and routine you may be able to leave him for short amounts of time and increase slowly. *McDuff needs to have his confidence boosted, firm and fair rules, consistency and ongoing training, routine, exercise, mind stimulation and lots of ongoing love. McDuff will need 6 foot fencing that he cant view through. McDuff is very strong on lead and uncordinated navigating the house door jams etc. McDuff gets along with some dogs so if you have a dog we will need to arrange a meeting. (laid back, calm dogs preferable) McDuff has lived with teenage boys but has shown lots of humping tendancies. McDuff has not lived or currently met young children McDuff resource guards food. Now you have got this far:- A boy that just wants to be loved He takes food and treats from hand gently He is toilet and crate trained McDuff travels well in a car A boy who loves to be with his people McDuff is learning new things everyday, he is improving and trusting more everyday, he will be a great dog when he finds his place and a understanding family. We are in no hurry for McDuff to leave our care so we will search until the right family, environment and life is found for this boy.
