25.01.2022 ESLAC Annual General Meeting - tonight at 8pm, all ESLAC members are invited to attend via phone. by calling 1800 062 923 and using the Guest Pin 785072768016. Registered athletes and their parents and guardians are all members of Eastern Suburbs Little Athletics.

25.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS to all our athletes who competed on the weekend, records were broken and personal bests achieved. The track at ES Marks is booked this Sunday, 4pm - 5.30pm for a Regional Team practice. The top 8 in a laned event (eg 100m) qualify for Regionals. In a non-laned event eg. the 800m and all field events the top 6 automatically qualify then the next 4 fastest/longest from both zones in our Region will go through. Under 7s dont go to Regionals. See you Sunday.

23.01.2022 The remainder of the Saturday program of the Regional Carnival has been postponed until the completion of a modified Sunday Program. The Sunday Program will start at 8:00am as per the original program but all heats will be run as timed finals. All heats will be reseeded so that there will be a fast heat and a slow heat based on times from Zone. The slow heat will run first and the fast heat will be run second. Because the organisers are trying to get the Sunday program finish...ed as early as possible so that the unfinished Saturday track events can be run at their completion, all competitors (TRACK AND FIELD) MUST BE PREPARED FOR THEIR EVENT TO RUN UP TO ONE HOUR EARLIER THAN SCHEDULED. So please come early to avoid missing your event. For field events there will be 3 throws or jumps and then the top 8 will only get one extra throw/jump to help speed up the program. Any Saturday field events carried over until Sunday will start no earlier than 12 noon and will be run in the order in which they would have run as event locations become available. This weather has been unprecedented for our Region and we ask for everybodys understanding and cooperation in trying to get our carnival completed as best we can over the weekend. 23.01.2022 Reminder: Training session tomorrow(23/02) for our State Team, ES Marks, 4pm-5.30pm. 21.01.2022 COMP IS CANCELLED TONIGHT DUE TO RAIN. While this much needed rain is great for our farmers, unfortunately it does mean that no events will be held this evening.

20.01.2022 Event Series 1 will be on tonight - sprints, 400m and hurdles. Championship Points will be awarded and if you are interested in participating in the LANSW State Relay Championships, be sure to compete in the 100m heats. Extra supplies have been ordered for the BBQ so come along, it will be a great night.

19.01.2022 Tonight is ON, last Friday night of this season. We have the Tiny Tots Trophy Presentation and we will be running Event Series 1. We hope to see everyone there.

09.01.2022 Congratulations to all our athletes who competed at the State Relay Championships at Homebush on the weekend, you all did our club proud. Our Juniors gave our club a flying headstart on Saturday with all teams (except one who narrowly missed out) qualifying for the finals and making the top 8. On Sunday, our Seniors continued to shine, as more medals were added to our collection.... On both days, individuals and teams competed at a very high level. There were some PBs, duals medalists and athletes running up in higher age groups - everyone involved is to be congratulated. A special callout to the following teams: - Under 8 Girls - Gold - 4 * 100m - Under 8 Mixed - Bronze - 4 * 200m - Under 11 Boys - Bronze - 4 * 100m - Under 12 Mixed - Silver - 4 * 400 - Under 15 Mixed - Bronze - 4 * 400 - Boys U12-U15 - Bronze - 4 * 800 This is a great sign for our club leading up to the Zones Championship. Come on Friday night, it will be the last chance to sign up. #GoESLAC

08.01.2022 SUNDAY PROGRAM UPDATE: This is just a reminder that the Sunday program will running early today and all athletes will need to be ready for the possibility that their events may start ahead of schedule. At the moment (8:45am) the program is on time but with the possibility of combining some of the walks events and the fact that we have dropped all finals from the program (heats become timed finals) the 70m timed finals scheduled for 11:56 could be up to 45 minutes early. Once ...the relays are completed we will pick up the unfinished Saturday program for the track. Field events are also running early with the 9:25am events already called for marshalling at 8:30am. With the field events having 3 throws/jumps followed by only 1 throw/jump for the top 8 competitors, field events will also run early. Please be an hour early for your field events. Saturday field events will start as soon as an event location becomes available but not before 12 noon.

07.01.2022 See you tonight for week 4: ** New Times for this season ESLAC has new start times for the 2020/21 season. The Tiny Tots to Under 8s have a 5:20pm Warmup/5:30pm Start and the Under 9s to Under 17s have a 6:35pm Warmup/6:45 Start. We have implemented the staggered start times to separate the younger and older age groups as a part of our Covid Safe plan for the new season. ... ** Uniform Shop will be open. ** Tonight is Event Series 6 with the U10 U17 age groups running the 200m/800m combination. The U7s will run a 50m/200m combination and the U8s and U9s will combine the 200m with a 70m sprint. The Tots U6 will run 50m and 70m and the U11 U17 age groups will also get to throw the Javelin starting at 8:30pm

06.01.2022 State qualifiers have been announced. Congratulations to our 39 athletes.

06.01.2022 The latest communication from the Regional Carnival organisers gives an update on the resumption of field events is shown below: Just to confirm: The carnival will recommence at 4:30pm, starting with the 400m timed finals (this is so athletes also competing in the 3000m are not disadvantaged), followed by the 100m races which will be run as timed finals (reseeded according to LANSW rules for timed finals. ... The first field events call will be: U12B LJ, U12G LJ, U17G TJ U9G SP U15B SP U17B HJ U12B HJ U10B Dis U13B Jav It is still very hot and the heat shows no sign of abating. The organisers are hoping the Saturday program will take 1.5 to 2 hours to complete once events resume. There are flood lights for the field event areas and the track and the organisers have said they will stay as late as 8:30pm to complete the carnival Saturday program if required.
