25.01.2022 If you remember the lovely Twin Rivers Mischka, you’ve been following us for quite a while! It is an absolute pleasure to be working with Mischka again!

24.01.2022 This lovely big guy was wearing the bridle today too - our dentist is coming Tuesday, so all of the youngsters are spending the next few days wearing the bridle so they’re that bit more prepared for the gag. Fergus is showing the same big cadenced gaits as April (and Demi), and has the most sweet and personable temperament too!

23.01.2022 Bexxi is available for purchase - started with Bandora Breaking ( https://fb.watch/2um5G9I0gF/ ) and now commencing some further schooling. He is 6yo, and stands at 17.1 1/4hh; if you’re looking for a gentle giant that oozes talent and presence, Bexxi is your man!

23.01.2022 April is excelling in all areas of her preparation and I can’t wait to have a few sits this week and start her work undersaddle next week!

23.01.2022 My young baroque stallion, EL Vitaurio

23.01.2022 Jangles being a superstar on his first outing and group ride, going bush today! Many many thanks for an awesome ride!!!

22.01.2022 Over the last week, Emu, Tanwen and Leandro have all had their first ride. I am really happy with how prepared they all felt for work undersaddle, and their progress in that area in their first few rides. Special thanks to Phoebe, who is doing a super job working with Tanwen with me, to ensure she will make a super kids pony!

22.01.2022 I could not be happier to have Lloyd, from Forever Fjord Horses, back in training. He never ceases to amaze me with his incredibly quiet and willing attitude, great work ethic and athleticism - the epitome of a trainable horse, which is what I think it’s all’s about! Lloyd got to have a look around the arena the day prior to this ride, and then we were off and about undersaddle - a super effort for any young horse in a new environment (in this insane weather), taking it all in his stride - let alone the fact he is a 4yo stallion, started earlier in the year and has been spelling for 6 months since! What an honest, kind horse!

22.01.2022 Fergus had his first day wearing the saddle and didn’t miss a beat - working hard on developing the walk, trot, canter and halt cues in up/downward transitions. He’s got lovely rolling cadenced gaits and finds his balance and rhythm easily! Looking forward to being on board!

21.01.2022 As well as preparing for riding, Kai is becoming familiar with all the handling work that might be asked of him, included in today’s session was float loading; working towards self loading.

21.01.2022 Fergus’ last week of starting/training with me and we went out for a little road ride, undersaddle on the way out and inhand on the way home; checked out all the road signs, creeks, sheep and cows, and had a chat to the postie when she drove past.

21.01.2022 Jangles has his second ride today, going forward a little hack down the road after testing out all our aids on the arena yesterday - looking forward to frequent rides out to help develop his fitness, as well as furthering his knowledge undersaddle

20.01.2022 Jangles left today, on his way to a client in NSW. Such a sweet boy!

20.01.2022 Jangles second ride, and his first road ride

20.01.2022 Kellar has been going through the mouthing and backing process the last 3 weeks - today we had a play without the saddle so I could easily get around/over him and make sure he was really comfortable with a rider on him. Definitely ready to progress to ridden worn undersaddle, following mounting, bending, yielding and walking off undersaddle over the last week.

19.01.2022 Jangles had his first ride with another horse in the arena, and we are looking forward to some bush and road rides with company over the coming weeks!

19.01.2022 Woodglen Kai settling into work on the long reins out on the arena where we can do lots more changes of directions, straight lines, and different shapes and patterns, and also lots of transitions, helping him to develop strength in maintaining his balanced and rhythm despite shifts in weight. He has such beautiful gaits, I love watching him move!

18.01.2022 Jangles having his first workout with the saddle on! Such a cruisey little man, and such a great work ethic! Can’t wait to see him looking fitter and to feel him undersaddle!

18.01.2022 6yo, 3/4 friesian 1/4 TB, 15.3hh should mature 16hh, black gelding. He has done dressage lessons, natural horsemanship clinics, working equitation clinics (which he loves and is very good at) and some trail riding. Asking $8500.00 Enquiries to Kerry - 0428 927 232

17.01.2022 Ty Zoontjens having a sit on some of the horses I currently have in training - photos courtesy of Erin Maree Photography (well, the first three).

17.01.2022 April strutting her stuff with the gear on! Such a bold young horse, I don’t think much is going to worry this one; plus incredible movement and lots of hair!

16.01.2022 Woodglen Clyde and Forever Lloyd Running through our comp day plan, since Clyde and I are a little out of practise, and next weekend will be Lloyd’s first ridden outing! Loaded them up together for a drive around the block, and then parked away from our usual tie up near the stables while the boys got prepared for their rides standing at the float, and stood while the other got worked. As strange as I found the situation, neither of them could have cared less! Hopefully next weekend brings the same calmness...but with clean ponies and cricket whites on! So proud of them today!

15.01.2022 Emily and her homebred Friesian x youngster. Benji had a prep earlier in the year, lunging, long reining, mouthing, backing, and about 10 rides. He’s been tipped out until around 5 weeks ago, when he came back into work with me, finished off his starting, and then spent a fortnight with Cambridge Park Equestrian. He got some miles with other riders, ridden horses with other horses, and even a trip down to the beach! He’s now back again for Emily to continue with his work under guidance and I’m looking forward to some dressage schooling with him down the track, as he’s naturally quite talented! Couldn’t be happier with the team work which has led to a super outcome for this horse and rider pair! That’s what we want!

15.01.2022 Erin Maree Photography‘s shots of my own V, Woodglen Clyde and Ulrik RS fan Top en Twel during lessons with Ty Zoontjens

14.01.2022 Woodglen Spirit coming back into work after starting and spelling. A lovely little Clydie X Sporthorse who is looking for his new human and rider to continue on with.

13.01.2022 So grateful to EMK Photography - stunning work, and a super talented pony too! Looking forward to working with Erin Kleisterlee on more Equine projects!

13.01.2022 Woodglen Clyde and Forever Lloyd at the Dressage Fundraiser for Lakes and Craters International Horse Trials - thank you for running the event! Clyde has made a huge improvement in his competition anxiety, and I can’t wait to see him come along even further so he’s a happier horse when he’s out and about and we can continue up the levels to match how he’s schooling at home! And Lloyd, he was an absolute golden child as always! Not just his first competition undersaddle, but ...also my first comp undersaddle with a stallion, and I could not have asked for a better partner! Super cool to be out on two horses I’ve started - Clyde quite a number of years ago and it’s a pleasure to have him back in work with me, and Lloyd earlier this year and back for further training! Amazing!!! Many thanks to Tessa Van Gestel for all your help AND getting photos, you’re a wizard! And to Woodglen International and Forever Fjord Horses for trusting me with your amazing equines! See more

12.01.2022 Super impressed with these two youngsters; such great minds and what wonderful balanced engaged movement! A week into work and their first time on the long reins, and neither of them blinked. I very rarely have youngsters/breakers that can canter on the long reins, let alone in their first session! Super impressed!

11.01.2022 My saddle is currently getting readjusted so since last weeks comp, V’s had a massage and a few days off. So I thought we’d have a play at liberty on the ground or do some partially tackless work undersaddle ... something different without creating stress because that defeats the point of just having fun with something out of our ordianry routine. I never EVER thought I’d be riding this horse with a neck rope, let alone without. And from previous experience, yes, there is a... massive difference between riding with a neck rope / string, and riding with nothing at all. And V also agrees. But as per usual, she tried SO HARD. And I hope I always remember that’s more than enough and more than can be expected, and that it should be absolutely celebrated! (I managed to remember that last comp, which was an abomination - went into the arena crying out of worry and came out crying in gratitude that she gave it a crack... just don’t ask what our scores were!) I say it all the time in person but I don’t think I’ve mentioned it here - I am the kind of human that always worries they don’t do enough or know know enough, and that I should know more before I do anything further. It would be so easy for me to not work with horses on the basis that I could always be doing better. But, while I’ll certainly I knew what I do in 10 or 20 years time and had V then to do better by her, I am SO grateful Maya taught me what she did so I could do even better with V. And so grateful for all V is teaching me so I can work even better with her son, and the other ponies to come! I am so grateful they accept the best I can do at the time what a gift they give! See more

10.01.2022 Kai’s first day wearing the saddle and he remained totally unphased by it all! Always impressing me with his easy gaits, it’s horses like these that make me so excited to see how they’re looking and going as mature, stronger, suppler, schooled horses!

10.01.2022 The latest addition; Jangles (Django), 4yo Gypsy Cob (Clononeen VIP) x Clydesdale Sporthorse, 14.2 1/2 hh, buckskin tobiano, gelding. Already enjoying the very beginning of getting this guy going undersaddle, and looking forward to the rest of the process! He is such an incredibly calm and willing dude! The next arrival is also a gorgeous chunk of, and one of my absolutely favourites to have started, can’t wait to do some further training with him - It’s going to be a great few weeks ahead!

08.01.2022 For the new year I will be opening up one or two long term schooling places - suitable for, but not limited to owners wanting their horse to be prepped for assessed or gain particular competition scores for assessments / breeding / professional career etc owners wanting their horse to be schooled in the medium and above movements, including shoulder in, traver, renver, pirouettes, half pass and flying changes owners wanting their young horses foundational education so...lidified and exposed to a variety of environments (solo outings, group rides, trail, bush and beach, competition environments etc) owners wanting horses trained and campaigned into the FEI levels Don’t hesitate to message me if this sounds like what you’re looking for, or if you have anything else in mind you’d like to discuss with me! Cheers Pictured is V, coming back into work with some variations in the trot, as we prepare to get out to some competitions again!

07.01.2022 The stunning Shepherds Hill Emu has been learning about mouthing and the starting process over the last week, along with other handling/prep work, like tying up, hosing, rugging, float loading and work at the mounting block. Loving working with this young Friesian gelding, his future is so bright!

06.01.2022 The lovely Woodglen Clyde - I’ve been working with this gelding over the last twelve months and his foundation is starting to feel pretty solid. It’s exciting to be building on that, and working on the next lot of movements, including flying changes! Loving how calmly he’s giving it all a go!

06.01.2022 Fergus is also preparing exceptionally well for the ridden work, and all other handling, and he too will be commencing his work undersaddle next week!

06.01.2022 The sweet Fergus has found a lovely home and will have a spell at the end of the month, when he’s finished his starting, before heading to his new home!

05.01.2022 Woodglen Clyde and I attended our second comp for the season, a wonderful twilight dressage day at Werribee - thank you to the organisers, and photographer, Equine Images Victoria. Thanks to Tessa too, as usual, for her help on the day, and Wendy for trusting me with her lovely boy! Clyde improved immensely upon his last outing - very proud of how he coped with his competition worries, and excited to feel that he’ll be well and truly ready to make his medium debut next year!

05.01.2022 The lovely Spirit off is heading off for some new experiences with Cambridge Park Equestrian and will be available for purchase in the near future. He is a super package of a youngster, and even just in the months he’s been here I love how he is developing as a 3yo!

05.01.2022 Had the pleasure of taking Forever Lloyd for a bush ride today! Leading and following with our friend, and unphased by the dogs crashing through the bush, splashing in the puddles and just generally popping out with less than ideal timing. A lovely relaxing ride, which I would not assume all young stallions would offer in their first ridden adventure in the bush, but I know I’m in safe hands (hooves) when I’m on this lad!

04.01.2022 Three youngsters today - Kellar in his last week of starting, Dusty coming back into work after starting and spelling, and Blue having another round of work after restarting and a couple of rounds of education. Shoutout to Natalie Evans @ Cambridge Park Equestrian, who currently has one of the breakers for miles/experience post starting - looking forward to him coming home tomorrow and handing another one over to their team. Really enjoying working with Nat and the team for the clients who want a few more riders on their horse after breaking, and extra miles/experience riding with other horses, around the roads and even out on other adventures. And I know they’ll come back confident horses to continue schooling up and more prepared for their first competition days!

03.01.2022 It’s been a while since I’ve played with this boy from the Moyne - Kellar having his first session towards starting undersaddle! This guy has some serious presence! Kellar isn’t for sale, but one of his siblings, (that I mistook for Kellar) is available - check out Sal / Celestial on Ravens Lodge sporthorses, his is available as is, or will be coming in for starting in the next month or two.
