23.01.2022 Did you know once a fertile egg is laid and the incubation period has started the baby lizard is actually alive and growing in the egg. It’s just like little human baby’s in our belly’s but in an egg we use A source of light (candling) to see the different stages just like ultrasound for humans here are some photos of the stages. I’ll also post a YouTube link on my page They also have a cord attached to them much like our umbilical cord Connecting them to the yolk and the egg. Some babies are born with some of the cord still attached or sometimes tangled you can also see in the first few weeks the slit where the cord was attached to baby much like a belly button however unlike us their belly button heals over.

They do this to Attract and absorb the sunlight naturally by using their back and colour as a Solar panel to control the intake of heat and uvb
