25.01.2022 Giving love to the roses.
24.01.2022 One tankstand repaired and one to go. This one has rather more challenges than the first. For starters, it's 10 metres in the air. The team did a lot of problem solving to complete this renovation. How to rip the old floor out, leave the tank up while repaired and build under the tank. What an achievement, guys.
23.01.2022 Spring has brought us so many presents. Not only have we enjoyed some welcome spring rain, but we have black sapotes galore. What to make with this fruit that is the colour of chocolate inside. Nev did some experimenting and made this amazing pie. Anyone else tried them?
23.01.2022 It was so hot....pre-storm heat, when the new deck for the water tank was reconstructed. Last night with the newly painted tank in position we contentedly listened to the water flowing in. Perfect timing!

19.01.2022 In the bush, a rainy day allows you to catch up inside...Today I am working on Edan Gardens promotional side. Pulled out the first draft of our big vision for Edan Gardens.....our first raw draft, pouring our ideas onto paper a couple of years ago... Good to remember the source, the vision we have so we can keep aligning with our vision. In the book we created we stated our vision as: Our overarching dream is to create a space for people to de-stress and nurture their Soul Growth through providing short-stay opportunities; creative experiences for wellbeing; and access to the healing power of nature, on our land.

17.01.2022 Edan Gardens is a wholly off grid endeavour. We generate our own power and we capture and set up systems to be responsible for our own water. Sometimes it's more of a challenge to do things this way....but when we feel the heightened connection with Nature that arises it is worth it.

We are also loving that Friends of Edan Gardens who are staying with us find it therapeutic and fulfilling to lend a hand and give our land some love. <3 We are nestled near Kyogle and Nimbin, and close to the Border Ranges....Colourful, natural world exploring.
17.01.2022 How good to feel the sun . Winter sees us finally getting the first site ready for off-grid camping. After all the rain that has fallen over the past few months the earth is chocolaty soft. Thanks Laing for digging the first holes. Now, what is that coming out of the first hole there?

15.01.2022 You may have noticed that we haven't been on social media for a while. It's been hard over the Summer here in Australia....it's been so, so hot...and so, so dry where we live. Lucky we don't have any animals on our place at the moment. Our dam ran dry and we were getting really low on our other water supplies. So we gave up gardening for a bit and had the earthmovers in. They created a new house site, internal roads, repaired and enlarged our existing dam and dug us a new ...one. Now we are madly working at grassing banks and bare earth before the rains that must surely come. Sometimes you have to go sideways to keep going forward
15.01.2022 It's the journey isn't it?...The next step that each day brings, and our ability to recognize and appreciate that we are stepping further, further forward....towards our dreams. This last week we have been busy and the stirrups are ready and waiting for our first utilities block, which will be part of our first off-grid camp site. So here they are....waiting for the next step.

That was my thought when I passed our Jabodacarpa tree this morning full to overflowing with blossom and the hum of bees.

10.01.2022 Sometimes it's hard to keep the vision alive, when you are met by early, unusual Spring heat and unrelenting dry weather. We were feeling like this recently and we started to reflect on all that has happened this year so far and celebrate with a glass of champagne. In a year we have de-rocked the paddock, grassed the off-grid camp site, spent a lot of time gathering suitable building supplies fo...r the next stage, created a nursery area and started landscaping, put in an energy tower to harmonize the land, and started mosaicing this, and now........we are finally building our first off-grid amenity building. We feel so appreciative of the help we've received along the way, and the support we have received that allows us to keep going See more

07.01.2022 As the moon moves through Capricorn, this is the perfect time to make plans, set goals and get organised. With so much fear and uncertainty swirling, it's more ...important than ever. Personally, I've decided to finish an online diploma over the next few months (in Interior Design). I'd also like to develop an online astrology course, do more bushwalking, learn more about permaculture and tackle the flourishing weeds (a seriously big job) in my garden! Any ideas? 06.01.2022 What an experience we are having moving ever forward, seemingly with baby steps to realise our dream of creating our dream of transforming our land into a place where people can visit and have a healing experience through being surrounded by nature. Of course life happens and weaves through and around these dreams with crises, droughts, floods, illness and joys. We have been so busy responding to life lately, that it was only on a recent walk that it hit me.....Our farm is i...non our vision...we are receiving help unexpectedly! I look around and Nature is taking over many of the tasks....trees are bearing fruit...animal, bird and insect biodiversity is thriving and settling on our land. We have now established a primitive bath experience for natural distressing . We have our first support to wellbeing product published and available for purchase. We really want to offer a space for de-stressing, for slowing down, connecting to peace in nature. Slowly.....we are getting closer to opening the doors so you can experience our healing gardens. 06.01.2022 Too much of a good thing (hot summer) can leave you feeling tired or a bit dessicated...So I am really soaking in the maginificant feel of the rain showers today. Every suspended rain drop shines and uplifts...For some plants in the nursery, it's their first taste of rain.
05.01.2022 Counting your blessings is a ritual we can do anywhere. What a blessing for us in this long, uncomfortably hot summer to have such abundance appear .... Our Jaboticaba tree (known in SouthAmerica as the abundance tree) is loaded this summer. Plenty for everyone..... We’ve tried freezing them, and made a juice which is delicious.... 04.01.2022 It’s so incredibly busy this moment in time. .......which explains why when you get a moment to tune into the Natural World, you instantly feel the benefit, even if you literally only have seconds. (Check out the water spirit at the end)....this is the little fountain we have most of our summer conversations around. It helps create a calm, focussed and creative experience. 03.01.2022 Well, after a really hot day, it's finally cool enough for Nev and our helpful woofer to get back up in the treeline.....We are all looking forward to water tonight.....having limited amounts during this heat wave has been a challenge. The Tank near the house was planned to be this high to create gravity fed water with no pressure pump. A definate plus in an off-grid environment. Thanks guys!....
