01.01.2022 HOW TO PROPERLY DISPOSE OF BALLOONS AFTER USE: After you have held your event or no longer have the need for inflated balloons, you MUST dispose of them correctly to ensure you are protecting our environment and animals in an eco-friendly manner. Whilst the latex balloons we use here at @empireeventhire are 100% biodegradable, it is extremely important to dispose of them correctly to reduce the risk of animals mistakenly consuming them as food. Consuming latex balloons ...can block an animals intestines and result in death. So let’s learn how to dispose of them correctly so we can protect our wildlife well after the party is over!! Here’s how to do it: 1 Deflate your balloons and cut them into small pieces 2 Seal the cuttings into a bag (this can be anything from an empty bag of chips to a used zip lock bag - try and put them into a bag you already plan on disposing of) In this bag, you should also put other items which may harm wildlife if swallowed. For example, gum wrappers and bottle caps. 3 Put the bag into the general waste which can then be taken to decompose in landfill. And that’s it! It’s the small changes we make like this which will protect our environment and animals for the future years to come. #protectourplanet #empireeventhire
