25.01.2022 Amazing here how only a slight colour variations and fresh paint has made such a huge impact The previous colours worked well but were more of a subtle & muted scheme, to make a change we chose similar colours with a higher chroma. New colours include Taubmans Golden Honey, Coppertone & Colorbond Monument. ... The effect is vibrant, bold and playful & are especially impressive in the afternoon sun

25.01.2022 On this job the clients are quite satisfied with the current colour scheme. However have lost record of the names of the previous colours. So a colour match by eye is being used to achieve near the same result but with an inevitable variation. In doing this we hope to achieve a slight level of newness & something to be excited about We have decided to go with Taubmans Coppertone & Golden Honey ... Also the white coloured roof is soon due to be painted in Colorbond Monumnet. To help blend this in with the scheme we are changing the blue of the fascias, gutters, etc to match

17.01.2022 Another amazing transformation here The dated pink of the previous paint job has been deleted by applying Lexicon 1/4 to achieve a crisp, bright, high key atmosphere that lets in a lot more light. This living area now has a new life !

16.01.2022 More stunning results on this job with an outlived green being updated with the modern option of whisper white Quite a few repairs were needed but it has made the transformation even more effective. New carpet in a light brown/ grey colour is due to be installed shortly which will surely compliment and ground the new colour scheme

13.01.2022 Garage Bulkhead & Gable completed in beautiful rare red jarrah finished in Cutek Extreme - Burnt Red Although it looks a lot darker in this picture, when the sun hits the timber it becomes illuminated, highlighting the stunning grain pattern and creating an accurate colour match to the garage door. Driveway soon to be completed, stay tuned for the final pics !

11.01.2022 These clients were amazed at how much light and space was created by the painting of their accessory apartment ! The colour that I recommended to use for the walls was 1/2 strength Whisper White, a colour that has a crisp near to white finish with a slight warmth. For the Woodwork we used a semi gloss Alkyd enamel in Full Strength Whisper White. The contrast is quite subtle which worked well in this confined area to create the perception of expansiveness. All fresh, clean & ready for new tenants

Its been a while since it has had some love and attention, so a thorough scraping, sanding & a juicy scrub with sugar soap was in order. ... All fresh, clean & free of dirt, dust & debris, ready for patching of imperfections and gapping of any cracks... then finally some paint of course Stay tuned for the results #enlightpainting

04.01.2022 Sometimes its the little things Even though it was not requested or technically my responsibility I couldnt resist finding a little piece of timber to complete the missing moulding on this post

04.01.2022 Preparation is KEY Literally and scientifically. Sanding or abrading a surface is more than just making a surface smooth. In the industry is what is known as keying the surface to ensure that the molecules of paint or product being used adheres to the surface and stays there for as long as possible.... On this job a fine sand paper was used on the metal surfaces to avoid scratches showing through the coats of paint whilst providing lots of micro channels for the paint to stick. Think of it like Velcro on a micro, molecular level ! Surfaces were then washed down thoroughly with sugar soap and then rinsed or wiped down with a moist rag to remove any remaining dust or grease. 1 single garage door took 7 pieces of sand paper with 4 sides per piece, equaling 28 faces of paper in total used. Approximately 11 hours were taken to properly prepare this somewhat simple job before paint could even be given a thought ! No. Its not just come in and slap on the paint, not if your a professional aiming to provide quality and results that endure

03.01.2022 Refreshing and updating these doors from Antique white high gloss enamel to a semi gloss enamel in whisper white The semi gloss gives a softer chalk like texture which diffuses and softens the light while still providing long lasting durability. 01.01.2022 Awesome result on this shower / laundry area! The colour pearl ash was used for walls & woodwork - low sheen & high gloss. Its mild purple tones resonate with the greys within the tile scheme. Also due to the high moisture and low ventilation in this space we chose a semi gloss enamel for the ceiling... perhaps considered over-kill and a little more glossy than preferred for a ceiling. However the benefit is that it will provide an extra enduring finish with maximum resistance to the elements.
