24.01.2022 For close to 40 years, Twenty10 has been housing and supporting young LGBTIQA+ people in New South Wales and our phone support line GLCS NSW (now QLife), close to 50. We could not be where we are today without the passion and commitment of the community volunteers that founded our organisation, and the supporters who continue to help us every day. Donations are so important to keep Twenty10 growing and working with as many LGBTIQA+ people as we can. https://www.twenty10.org.a...u/donate/ If you want to support us but can't afford to donate, we totally understand - and we'd really appreciate it if you shared this post with your friends, family and followers. All donations of $300 and over receive an A3 limited edition archival giclée artist print of Luke John Matthew Arnold's amazing artwork! 07.01.2022 In countries around the world, it is simply not safe to be LGBTIQA+. Many people seek asylum in or migrate to countries like Australia that have a strong record of LGBTIQA+ rights - however, that comes with its own issues. Communities of people from one's home country may still be hostile to LGBTIQA+ people, while mainstream LGBTIQA+ communities may not be culturally safe. In addition, the conditions for migrants, asylum seekers, and refugees in Australia are difficult to navigate, as many support programs are not available for people who aren't citizens or permanent residents. This #WorldRefugeeDay, we celebrate the work of groups like Forcibly Displaced People Network in working with these often overlooked communities. Thank you for all the hard work you do!
