25.01.2022 Tonight we introduce another team member here EHA, this is Barbosa. He is a 5 yr old stock horse cross. He was gifted to me at the start of the year as a highly strung, reactive horse. Well with a few months of training under his belt he is an absolute gentleman. He is super smoochy and is always up for a cuddle. Even though he is a beginner himself he has had many beginner riders on him already. He takes everything in his stride which is so rewarding to see in a young horse. Everyone that meets him falls in love with him and his personality. Contact us to spend sometime with this boy.

24.01.2022 Renai Mouton and I where just talking about this today. Walk,walk and more walking to gain balance and strength first.

22.01.2022 Today Lynn came for a session with Johnny our Brumby, I think the smile on her face says it all.

20.01.2022 Only the second time in this mares life being led in a big yard. Such a good thinking mare. Simone’s calm energy really helped.

19.01.2022 Here is an Idris update. We are just taking him very slowly, this was his first time out of his own paddock today. He comes in close for a touch when he gets a bit worried, such a beautiful boy.

18.01.2022 Today I was back working with these beautiful Arabs. Getting them use to ropes and starting to do some leading. The grey mare will be for sale once she had been handled a bit. These are endurance breed crabbets .

16.01.2022 Listening to your horse. We have all been guilty of not ‘listening’ or maybe even blaming our horses for certain behaviours, but the truth is they are just trying to communicate with us. This is my own story with our Brumby Johnny. He has always been involved with nearly all of our activities. At the start of this year I acquired a new horse that needed starting and training. So I thought this would be an ideal time to let Johnny rest and have some time out. How wrong I wa...s. His behaviour started to changed, his attitude and temperament. I didn’t think much of it as I thought he would get over it. Well he didn’t. After 2 body workers said he had no pain it was obvious that he was feeling redundant, not wanted, lost and no longer knew his spot. Johnny actually likes to be worked and involved. He was trying to tell us but we didn’t ‘listen’ or try to understand him. This has been a major learning for us with all our horses. See more

13.01.2022 Graduation! We were lucky to host the Booyah Moreton Wednesday Respect Crew graduation lunch today. Thanks to Charles for making a great feast & to everyone who came along, such good company Congratulations Trey, Chelsea & Ben. Well done! We hope to see you all again soon.

07.01.2022 Over the next 6 days we’re going to be introducing our healing herd. They are all an integral part of EHA’s programs. Today we’d like to introduce ‘Johnny’. Johnny is an 8 year old Mt. Kosciusko Brumby. His herd was removed from the national park around 4 years ago. Since then, he has had training, has done small endurance rides and lots of trail riding. Johnny has been a ‘expo’ horse for a local show. He loved it! He has a lot of fans due to his funny personality and has... such great character. He is strong, handsome, inquisitive and a smoocher. Johnny is one of our 6 horses that you can choose from to work with, for our Equine Assisted Activities. See more

01.01.2022 Today we introduce Blondie. She is a standardbred that’s never raced. She is the herd leader here. She acts very stoic, tuff and bold, but scratch the surface and she is quite vulnerable. Most people that meet her think she is a quarter horse because she is so solid. She came to us as a horse for my wife to regain her confidence with. She proved to be all that and more( even if she is very forward) once you link with her she is super powerful. She is our beautiful ginger girl that is here for you.
