22.01.2022 The Sikorsky S-76 and BO105, the first aerobatic, lightweight, twin engine helicopters, are taking a different route to Langley Park, by keeping their skids grounded. ERGT’s Perth Safety Training Centre and Heliwest are combining forces to bring not one but TWO awesome aircraft to Mining Emergency Response Competition. The helicopters will play a pivotal role alongside our volunteers as the focus of a HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service and Helicopter Incidents Skills)... session for the teams. 22.01.2022 ERGT Australia - RTO 2534 is committed to providing essential safety training amid the COVID-19 outbreak. We successfully ran a virtual classroom for the ISI (Industry Safety Induction) for new starts. 13, apprentices from Programmed NETTS displayed great enthusiasm and energy whilst doing this remotely. Our ISI facilitator Dave found some creative ways to keep the group engaged with plenty of virtual group discussions. Its a pleasure working with progressive thinkers like NETTS Program and Safer Together. This group was supported by BHP, Shell, Woodside Energy, Vermilion Oil & Gas Australia, and Santos Australia

21.01.2022 Testing and trials are underway as we prepare to host OPITO next week for our initial audit on our new Escape Chute training course.The ERGT team have commissioned this new training system in time to run public courses this side of Christmas. As new offshore facilities are being commissioned with Mass Evacuation Systems this training program is becoming increasingly more important.

18.01.2022 Its been fantastic to have Anthony Jackson on site with us at ERGT all week as part of Programmeds NETTS training scheme. The scheme gives young people the opportunity to build their skills in the oil and gas industry, with apprentices completing on the job training at a number of sites, including ERGT. Anthony particularly enjoyed shadowing some our our trainers delivering courses like FTMO, HUET, ISI and BOSIET. 17.01.2022 The Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter Service team from Life Saving Victoria recently visited our Melbourne centre to complete Aircraft Underwater Escape and Survival Training. The team completed a number of exercises to ensure their skills were up to date, allowing them to continue providing life-saving services along the Victorian coastline. As an emergency service it's essential that Live Saving Victoria are able to train, even during COVID-19, and we're proud to be abl...e to provide this critical training in a safe manner. The trainees only interacted with 3 of ERGTs specialist ER training team. No other personnel were allowed in this isolation zone throughout the day. Since 2014, over 6,000 trainees working in the Oil & Gas and Maritime industry have completed training in the pool - an impressive run! ERGT Australia - RTO 2534 is proud to be a part of their journey by raising their safety skills through our Safety Awareness Training course. The high-tech truck was designed and built by Offroad Trucks Australia to enhance safety outcomes during on-site emergencies. 07.01.2022 The ERGT team was recently joined by USAR K9 Western Australia and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services WA along with their fury friends for a unique training session at ERGT's Jandakot facility. USAR K9 volunteers and their dogs were put to the test by ERGT staff acting as casualties spread across the 3 hectare facility. They were tasked to sniff out hidden people, developing their sensory skills to help them save lives.... We look forward to hosting USAR K9/ DFES again soon.
