16.01.2022 There is a reason why as a company Performance Saddlefits specialise in custom-making saddles for their clients - its because they understand how saddle design and manufacture for 'off the rack' saddles are geared towards fitting the 'average horse' and the 'average rider'. Understandably, these companies want to sell saddles to the maximum number of people so they can to make a profit, and of course 'the average horse and rider' do exist and they can go very happily in those... saddles. BUT, there are also many, many horses and riders who do not fit this 'average' profile type. So compromises to fit for either the horse or the rider have to be made.
