14.01.2022 Welcoming the lovely Gemma Wells to our page. Esperance Potted Plants is so lucky to have her as one of our Admin advisors so a big thank you to her.... And of late she has had some goodies to sell so we look forward to our followers getting the opportunity to purchase good quality, healthy localised plant products from Gemma. With this hot wind blowing today I’ve been in the garden checking on my plant, fruit trees and hanging baskets. It a good idea to water your h...anging baskets after such dry winds as the coconut fibre and soils suffer and dry out. I find a good routine to get into is to occasionally sit your basket in a bucket of water for 24 hours. This assist in water up take, and removes many of the air holes that can be deadly for your potted plants as the roots die if exposed to air, and of course if you do have air pockets then your soil would be dry. We here at Esperance Potted Plants sell our coconut fibre baskets lined with weed matting for extra strength resulting in them lasting three to four years. It also protects the plant from soil shrinkage at can result in breakage. And of course by the time they are mature the lining is not noticeable. An example of our baskets.

12.01.2022 Hi there everyone, I hope you are enjoying this mostly beautiful weather as we get some great sun and rain for the garden. Speaking of flowers, if you bought some WA Paper Daisies from us, we would love to see photos of your results if you have some you’d like to share. I planted out three packs each in two garden beds only to discover one took well and the other entirely failed. Here they are, have a great day. 09.01.2022 Esperance Potted Plants will have some plants for sale for Christmas, and we will give a voucher for a gift basket. I’ll make one up as we get closer to the season so you can see what they are like.

08.01.2022 TIP: Don’t forget your indoor plants have no natural predators, except of course you. Remember to check them regularly. Here is a photo of spider mite on my Heleconia plant. Even after washing them off and spraying with organic oil, they still returned so I removed the leaves and put them outside in the hot house.

02.01.2022 Hi there fellow plant lovers, I’ve just made up theses two beautiful pots for our home, and as I was beginning to pot up the third I thought they are so gorgeous with the blue and white pots, that I’d like to offer a limited number for sale next week to those of you who in the Esperance area. I have planted a small Euphorbia and an Elephant Ears in mine. But unfortunately can’t guarantee what you’ll get at this time, however any plant would look absolutely stunning in these... indoor pots.
