To put it bluntly we’ve see...n our industry under incredible scrutiny for experiencing and trying to deal with the very same challenges each city and town faces on any given weekend. We are determined alongside many other festivals around this country to provide world’s best practice care for our community. Too often the broad benefits of festivals are lost as the narrative is reduced by media and politicians to overdoses and arrests, ignoring the positive experience of the other 99%. We need to change this as a national collective from all festivals. We know festivals provide an important economic lifeline for their respective communities as well as artists, performers, market vendors and production staff. We know for patrons these gatherings provide an essential experience of expression and community which for some is transformational. This is the time to send a message that our community and our culture is worth preserving. This is the time to let everyone know that you have a voice and you WILL be heard!
