25.01.2022 ASSISTANCE REQUIRED - STOLEN PORSCHE Detectives from the Southern Metro Region Crime Team are investigating the theft of two Porsches from a home in Brighton on the 4th of November. One of the stolen vehicles was found parked in Berwick, however the midnight blue Porsche 911 is yet to be located.... Investigators have released an image of the outstanding Porsche, which is distinctive due to its one-of-a-kind colour. 25.01.2022 Bad Friday for some... Yesterday afternoon Cardinia Highway Patrol were patrolling as part of #OpNexus for the Easter long weekend. At 2:50 PM, Highway Patrol intercepted a BMW on the Princes Freeway, Pakenham. Police spoke to a 21 year old male from Cranbourne. Enquiries revealed the driver was a Learner who had a suspended learners permit due to demerit points. The driver also did not have a supervising driver with him. His vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $...1280 and will be required to go to court. ***************************************************************** At 5:30 PM, Highway Patrol intercepted a Holden Statesman on Lyle Blue Court, Pakenham. Police spoke to a 34 year old male from Pakenham. Enquiries revealed the male's licence was subject to an Alcohol Interlock condition. A search of the vehicle revealed it was not fitted with an Alcohol Interlock device. The driver also underwent a roadside drug test returning a positive result to Methylamphetamine. The vehicle was immediately impounded for 30 days at a cost of $895 and the driver will be required to go to court. ***************************************************************** At 6:30 PM, Highway Patrol intercepted a BMW X5 on Lyle Blue Court, Pakenham. Police spoke to a 48 year old male from Pakenham. The driver underwent a roadside drug test returning a positive result to Methylamphetamine. The male will be required to attend court in relation to drug driving at a later date. ***************************************************************** At 7:15 PM, Highway Patrol detected a red Ford XR6 travelling on Henty Street, Pakenham at 104km/h in the 50km/h zone. The vehicle was intercepted and Police spoke to a 23 year old male from Parkdale. The driver underwent a roadside drug test returning a positive result to Methylamphetamine. Due to the excessive speed the male's vehicle was immediately impounded at a cost of $1280. 25.01.2022 PAKENHAM ROBBERY Four teenage girls have been arrested following an alleged robbery in Pakenham yesterday. It is alleged the group threatened the 17-year-old victim in the vicinity of Sandalwood Drive about 2.50pm, before assaulting the victim and stealing a phone charger. ... The same group is also alleged to have approached a 13-year-old girl on John Street Pakenham about 4.40pm. On this occasion the group assaulted the victim but fled empty handed towards Pakenham Railway Station where they were subsequently arrested by police. The group have also been linked to more incidents that occurred on Monday the 23rd November. A victim had left a handbag on a bench they were sitting at when the group stole it. The group then committed a robbery a few minutes later where they approached and assaulted the victim stealing an iPhone. A 14-year-old Pakenham girl, two 16-year-old girls from Brookfield and Hoppers Crossing, and a 15-year-old girl from Melton West have been charged with robbery, attempted robbery, theft, assault, state false name and commit indictable offences on bail.



24.01.2022 CARJACKING HALLAM Please keep your eyes peeled for this white Toyota Corolla, 1NH8RE, stolen following a violent carjacking in Hallam on the weekend. The victim was stopped at the traffic lights at Wedgewood Road around 2:45am on Sunday when a male and female approached the vehicle and opened the driver’s side door.... The man threatened the victim with a knife and demanded he get out of the car. He was then punched several times to the head and dragged from his vehicle. The offender’s drove away in the Corolla, leaving the victim on the side of the road. 22.01.2022 If you drink and drive... you know the rest!! Last night at about 7:50 PM, Cardinia Highway Patrol detected a Mercedes AMG travelling at 92km/h in the 70km/h zone on Henry Road, Pakenham. Police intercepted the vehicle and spoke to a 47yr old male from Pakenham. The male underwent a preliminary breath test which indicated a positive result. The male then returned an evidentiary breath test of 0.110 BAC.... Due to the BAC reading being above 0.100 the male's AMG was impounded for a period of 30 days at a cost of $1390. 19.01.2022 LEARNING THE HARD WAY Overnight, officers from the Pakenham Police Station were patrolling in Pakenham, responding to calls that a car was doing burnouts. Our officers came across a black Holden Statesman and observed it run a red light. They followed the vehicle, which reached a speed of 140 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on Princes Hwy before stopping for a red light which allowed police to catch up. As they approached and activated their lights and siren, the Statesman crashed... through this red light as well. Police took off after it and followed for a short distance with the driver refusing to pull over. Officers backed off due to the driving of the Statesman and observed it turn into Anderson St where it suddenly came to a stop. The Statesman had broken down and a small fire had erupted under the bonnet. After extinguishing the flames (caused by burning wires), the driver was spoken to and revealed he only had a Learners permit. He was the only occupant in the vehicle. A preliminary breath test was conducted, which returned a positive result. The driver found himself back at the Pakenham police station where he underwent an evidentiary breath test which returned a result of 0.084. It was also discovered he also had a warrant for his arrest relating to another unrelated matter. He was bailed for the warrant and will receive a summons to attend court for drink driving, unaccompanied learner, unregistered motor vehicle, excessive speed, unroadworthy vehicle as well as several other traffic offences. The Statesman was also impounded for 30 day at a cost of $895.00. The driver claimed that he did not realise that police were behind him!!



17.01.2022 A day in the life of Cardinia Highway Patrol... 7:35 AM, Cardinia Highway Patrol attended a single vehicle collision in Pakenham. Police spoke to a 19yr old male from Pakenham. Enquiries revealed the male was a learner, driving without a supervising driver. The male was issued with infringement notices costing $991. ------------------------------------------------- 8:55 AM, Highway Patrol intercepted a white Hyundai Getz on the Princes Freeway, Pakenham when it was detec...ted at 115km/h in the 100km/h zone. Police spoke to a 20yr old male from Tonimbuk. Enquiries revealed the male's vehicle was unregistered. The male was issued with infringement notices costing $1156 and 3 demerit points. ------------------------------------------------- 9:25 AM, Highway Patrol intercepted a black Mazda CX9 on the Princes Freeway, Pakenham when it was detected at 117km/h in the 100km/h zone. Police spoke to a 28yr old female from Officer. The female was issued with a infringement notice at a cost of $330 and 3 demerit points. ------------------------------------------------- 9:33 AM, Highway Patrol detected a white Hyundai Excel travelling at 82km/h in the 60km/h zone on McGregor Road, Pakenham. Police intercepted the vehicle and spoke to a 48yr old male from Pakenham. The male was required to undergo a road side drug test which returned a positive result to methylamphtamine. The male is expected to be charged with exceeding the speed limit and drug driving. ------------------------------------------------- 10:15 AM, Highway Patrol intercepted a blue Holden Commodore in Henry Street, Pakenham. Police spoke to a 37yr old male from Pakenham. Licence checks revealed the male's licence was suspended due to Drink Driving. The male was required to undergo a road side drug test which returned a positive result to methylamphtamine. Due to having a suspended licence the male's vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1390 and will be required to attend court. ------------------------------------------------- 11:33 AM, Highway Patrol intercepted a black Holden Astra on Racecourse Road, Pakenham. Police spoke to a 31yr old female from Dandenong. The female was required to undergo a road side drug test which returned a positive result to methylamphtamine. The female is expected to be charged with drug driving. 16.01.2022 Police are again reminding people to take extra precautions when selling items online after a man was robbed of his mobile phone in Officer yesterday. The victim advertised his i-Phone 11 on Facebook Marketplace and organised for the unknown male purchaser to meet him at Brownfield Drive around 4:50pm. The male offender asked the victim to reset the phone before pushing him and snatching the phone from his hand. ... The offender then left the scene in a green sedan. The offender is described as of African appearance, aged in his early 20s, approximately 180cm tall, slim to medium build, wearing a black face mask, black hoodie with white print on the front, black tracksuit pants and silver/diamond stud earrings. 15.01.2022 CRACK DOWN ON WEAPONS AT PAKENHAM RWS On Thursday the 7th of January members from the Frontline Tactical Unit, Transit and Authorised Officers worked together for a major operation focussing on people carrying illegal weapons at and around the Pakenham railway station. In total 10 people were charged with a range of drug and weapon offences and two people were cautioned for drug offences. Weapons located and seized were a taser, extendable baton and multiple knives. ... Police ended the day with the arrest of a 41-year-old male who was intercepted in his vehicle on Slattery Place. The man was arrested for allegedly being possession of an illicit drug, believed to be ice. The 22-year-old female passenger was given a drug diversion for allegedly being in possession of an illicit drug, believed to be MDMA. The man was charged with possess a drug of dependence, traffick a drug of dependence and possess proceeds of crime. He was remand in custody to appear at court at a later date. #OpOMNI

14.01.2022 FLIPPING BAD JOYRIDE Late night antics took a very wrong turn for a young driver after he flipped his car on the footy oval in Beaconsfield. The utility ended up on its roof in the middle of the oval on Holm Park Road and was discovered unoccupied early Saturday morning.... 13.01.2022 Drug driver caught at school pickup!! This afternoon, Cardinia Highway Patrol were monitoring a school zone when they spotted a red Holden Ute outside Officer Secondary College. Police intercepted the ute as it was not displaying number plates. Officers spoke to a 54 year old male from Cranbourne. The male was required to undergo a roadside drug test which returned a positive result to an illicit substance. ... 12.01.2022 POLICE DUMBFOUNDED AT HOON ACTIVITY Despite the numerous warnings about the dangers of hoon driving and the endless pleas to drive safely this Easter long weekend, reckless motorists are continuing to do burnouts whilst spectators watch on. Police patrolling the vicinity of Mark Anthony Drive and Ordish Road in Dandenong South last night as part of Operation Sumatra were disappointed to see a group of people engaging in this type of behaviour.... An abandoned vehicle which showed clear signs of performing burnouts was towed from the scene and police will be making further enquiries into the identity of those responsible. This comes just a day after police charged three men and seized two cars following a lengthy investigation into high-risk driving events in the area. 11.01.2022 86KMH OVER THE SPEED LIMIT Early this morning the Greater Dandenong Highway patrol detected a vehicle travelling at 166KMH in an 80KMH zone. Sometimes it pays not to be the fastest one in a drag race. It also pays not to drag race at all, especially when we are there and have our laser pointed directly at you!... Another first date unfortunately not with a new partner, but a magistrate this time. The vehicle was impounded for 30 days costing $1038. The driver will be charged for being 86KMH over the posted speed limit and driving at a dangerous speed. The pair in vehicle ended the night with an unplanned walk home.

06.01.2022 Officers from Cardinia Highway Patrol executed two search warrants yesterday as part of Operation OUTRIDDEN, an ongoing investigation into dangerous conduct and high risk riding on our roads. A number of items were seized, including a 2017 Yamaha MT10 motorcycle. Two males aged 35 and 31 from Pakenham and Officer South were arrested and interviewed for Reckless Conduct Endangering Life and Serious Injury. They have been released pending further enquiries, however can expect to be charged at a later date to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates Court. Highway Patrol are committed to ensuring they do all they can to keep our roads safe. Those who put their own lives and the lives of others at risk will be held to account.

06.01.2022 ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER PORKY PIE A disqualified P-plater has lost his car for 30 days after being nabbed in Pakenham this morning. Members from Cardinia Highway Patrol intercepted the Ford sedan on Main Street shortly after 10am for driving an unsafe car.... When asked for identification, the 30-year-old driver tried to provide his brother’s details to police. Checks revealed the Moe man had a disqualified probationary driver licence. 04.01.2022 A potential cat-astrophe was avoided when members of the Frontline Tactical Unit located two kittens in a box out in the scorching sun yesterday. The owner of a vacant property under renovation in Noble Park said she saw a male drop the box on the nature strip. Members were able to locate the mother cat in the yard of the vacant house and reunited the feline family.... Both mother and kitties were handed over to a local rescue centre and are paw-sitive about finding new homes. #kittenrescue #pawsome

03.01.2022 The male pilot was taking off from a Koo Wee Rup Road airfield when the weight-shift microlight aircraft crashed about 6.50am. The pilot, who was the sole occupant, died at the scene.
