24.01.2022 The continued success of our festival relies on the strength of our volunteers and the assistance of those who back us. While we have been unable to deliver the festival we wanted this year, we would still like to take a moment to acknowledge our wonderful sponsors and supporters. We look forward to working with them in the future towards a bigger and better festival in 2021. PLATINUM SPONSORS Visy Tumut Snowy Hydro... 21.01.2022 We obviously didn’t get to have our much loved Street Parade yesterday, so here’s some memories from last year We hope to welcome you all back to Tumut on April 24 next year so that we can celebrate together

21.01.2022 Don't forget our AGM is on the 18th! We are always looking for more people and new ideas so come along and see what goes on behind the Festival scenes. https://facebook.com/events/s/2020-festival-agm/3147812925304239/?ti=cl

21.01.2022 What a shame Luke O'Shea's performance was let down by his internet connection but never fear! You can buy his music (and more) from his online store and listen to him uninterrupted at home: https://lukeoshea.com

19.01.2022 Our festival has a rich history dating back to 1954, when the first festival was held. While we’re not sure exactly when this photo was taken, it definitely pays homage to street parade days gone by. If you have any historic photos from past festivals, we’d love for you to share them with us! Post your photos below in the comments or send them through to our inbox. This photo was borrowed from the Tumutians Facebook Group

18.01.2022 In case you missed this last week, here is the latest update on our festival plans. These are strange times indeed, but we are doing our best to bring the festival back to life, safely, next year.

17.01.2022 It looks like Lyn Bowtell is excited about tomorrow! Who else is excited?

16.01.2022 The fireworks are always a highlight of our annual festival (although the dogs don't like them much!). We are missing all the "oooohs" and "ahhhhhs" this year, so here's a reminder from our wonderful display in 2019.

12.01.2022 High praise for Lyn Bowtell from inside the music industry: She has one of the most amazing voices in this country, I love this beautiful woman and her talent. Kasey Chambers Listening to Lyn Bowtell sing and play one of her own songs is purely magical. The voice of an angel, the words of a poet and the string skills of a master. I am so much better for the time I have spent touring, writing and laughing with Lyn Bowtell. Beccy Cole... If anything, Bowtell is a little too good. As a singer, she demands a response even when she is just singing a straight pop song, and when Bowtell is pulling you in deep, her voice is like a tantalising quicksand Iman lababedi, Rock NYC Live and Recorded. We can't wait to share Lyn's talents with you, LIVE right here on our Facebook page, 12 noon TOMORROW! Set your alarms... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4wRKscALL0

11.01.2022 Happy birthday to this legend! The theme of our 2020 Festival was to be the World’s Fastest Water in Ken Warby’s honour, and in honour of his son, Dave, who was to contest the record this year at our very own Blowering Dam. Obviously our 2020 event was cancelled and at this stage, the 2020 record attempt may not proceed either. However, we are keen to team up with the Spirit of Australia 2 - The Fastest Team on Water again next year to celebrate one of our region’s greatest accomplishments!

10.01.2022 Musings from Lyn Bowtell on fellow artist, Luke O'Shea: "I’m absolutely thrilled and honoured to have won two Golden Guitars with Luke O'Shea in the Vocal Collaboration and Heritage Song categories at the 48th CMAA Golden Guitar Awards for the song ‘Sing Me A Story’! ‘Sing Me A Story’ was written by Luke O’Shea and Felicity Urquhart at a songwriters retreat at The Dag Sheep Station in Nundle, and is the first single from Luke's new album ‘There In The Ochre’ (out now). If yo...u haven’t heard Luke's new album thendo yourself a favour! In my opinion it’s his best album yet, chock full of great songs, and this from a man who has written so many iconic Australian songs’Stronger Than Nicotine’, ‘The Drovers Wife’, ‘Lady of the Land’, ‘I Will Catch You’, ‘Three Brothers The Great War’, ‘The Old Mans Shed’, ‘How Well Have You Loved’ to name but a few. YepI’m a fan. Thanks Luke for letting me sing your story, it’s been a joy and a privilege!" Tune in here to see Luke and Lyn performing LIVE (separately) this Saturday. Concert starts at noon, but you can enjoy this duet while you wait... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhmlzgSIAE8

07.01.2022 We don't know what the world will look like at this time next year, but with fingers crossed, we aim to be welcoming you to our beautiful region next autumn. Thanks for supporting our festival for the past 66 years!

06.01.2022 Less than an hour till showtime! See you soon!

03.01.2022 Given that our 2020 Festival didn’t happen, we have decided to carry our theme of World’s Fastest Water over to our 2021 Festival, and hope that Dave Warby can also fulfil his goal of beating his Dad’s World Record next year too. But for now, on the 42nd anniversary of Ken Warby attaining that mighty record, please join us in congratulating Ken on his impressive achievement!

01.01.2022 Our beautiful region will be on show tonight during Better Homes & Gardens
