The Victorian Drama League is running a monologue competition. Entries to be submitted on video. Monologues must between 2 and 4 minutes duration. ... There are four categories: Adult drama Adult comedy Youth drama Youth comedy You can submit a maximum of 2 entries (1 comedy and 1 drama) Entry fee: $5 (VDL Members free) Video entries are now being accepted with a closing date of 30th October 2020. 09.01.2022 Vale Paddy Broberg FAMDA’s esteemed Life Member, musical director, friend and mentor Paddy Broberg passed away 1 October following a long battle with cancer. Paddy died peacefully surrounded by her family at home on Phillip Island. Paddy's funeral will be held on Thursday 8th October at 2.00 p.m. and will be live-streamed. A link to the live-streaming will appear on the Handley & Anderson website prior to the day of the funeral.

Michael Hogan: Best Lead Actor - Comedy as David Horton Amanda Mahomed: Best Support Actress - Comedy as Alice Tinker In competition with 32 other plays from across the state, Judy Barnard for Costumes and Andrew Oldroyd for Lighting Design. Adrian Darakai and Amanda Mahomed’s acting talents will be on display again this Friday 29 November when ‘Some Like It Boggs’ hits the Foster stage. Book now www.famda.org.au

06.01.2022 Over the winter school holidays Theatrecraft Youth Unlimited (a branch of the Victorian Drama League.) is offering a stripped back and easy to access online drama camp for Victorian youth (aged 12-24.) Registrations are still being accepted. Act now - https://forms.gle/rqezsALXbmhtLSkFA The program will include sessions in physicality, working with scripts, accents, vocal work, acting for screen and collaborative development of short films that will be presented at our premiere screening night. The participants will work with a range of professional performers and will include Q&A sessions with them. This camp is run on a pay-as-you-can basis for participants making it as accessible as possible.
