16.01.2022 This is something that is very hard for us to post, and something we really didn't want to have to do, but in light of recent events, we feel it is necessary. In the past few months our staff have been subjected to an increased amount of verbal and hurdling abuse. This is something that saddens us very much, and we wish to avoid this in the future. Firstly we wish to apologise to any patients that have witnessed any such event as we appreciate this is not something you wish... to see or hear whilst visiting the doctor. Secondly we want to remind anybody that we support an environment with ZERO tolerance for abuse, in person or over the phone, and anybody being disrespectful towards staff may be refused future services, and/or asked to leave the premises. Please remember that we are indeed trying our best, but we can't always guarantee that we will be running to time, or that we can fulfill all requests and this is not something that can always be helped by our reception staff. We ask that any issues are reported/taken up with the Manager, and not taken out of context out on Practice staff please. Most of all, we want to thank everybody for their ongoing support, and we hope this post shows our sincere appreciation for our lovely and supporting patients and that it won't offend anybody!!

16.01.2022 Coronavirus update - 20 July 2020 There has been one new case of coronavirus confirmed in Tasmania today. This brings the State’s total to 227 cases.... The case is a young woman who has been in hotel quarantine after returning to Tasmania from Victoria. The woman is currently receiving treatment at the Royal Hobart Hospital, and Public Health Services are conducting contact tracing. Further information will be provided tomorrow. Any Tasmanian with cold or flu-like symptoms such as a cough, sore throat, runny nose, or fever should contact their GP or call the Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738 to arrange testing for coronavirus. The situation with coronavirus is changing frequently. People can stay up to date by visiting the coronavirus website www.coronavirus.tas.gov.au or the Australian Government Department of Health website at www.health.gov.au.

12.01.2022 Today we welcomed the newest member of the Royal family! This robot supports staff at K-Block by delivering around 100,000 packaged hospital instrument trays to... the hospital sterilisers, saving time and reducing staff injury by removing the need for repetitious lifting. It's the first time any hospital in Australia has used the robot. See more
