22.01.2022 We recently needed to provide a reference relating to our expertise in Public and Community Health. Thanks to Finn O'Keefe, we were so honoured to receive this: To whom it may concern I write in reference to the work of Firestar Studios and National Senior Group Account Director, Geoffrey Williams, whom I have had the pleasure of working with for a decade.... From 20082016, I worked with Geoffrey and his wonderful design team in my role as editor of HIV Australia. The magazine was the Australian Federation of AIDS Organisation’s flagship publication, produced with funding assistance from the Department of Health. The legitimacy and credibility the magazine held alongside other peer-reviewed academic journals was supported in no small part by the authoritative and effective design style consistently provided by Geoffrey and his team. I worked with Geoffrey on the publication for just over eight years, but he and his team had managed design and production of the publication for over 19 years. While I have worked with a number of design agencies throughout my career, I have never encountered one as dedicated, responsive, and efficient as Geoffrey and his team. They not only handled the magazine’s creative design with great aplomb, the team consistently went above and beyond, providing creative solutions across all aspects of production, including additional services such as sub-editing and strategic advice. In particularly, Geoffrey, in his role as account director, was always extremely generous with his time, making himself available for discussions whenever needed, always able to ‘save the day’ in moments of crisis. Dealing with Geoffrey and his team is an absolute pleasure. I always felt that HIV Australia benefited from a level of creative attention to detail usually only offered by a small, bespoke agency, while being backed large design team able to work day and night, producing each edition of the publication astonishingly fast, on time and on brand. Geoffrey Williams and team always did their utmost to deliver a quality product, and their decades of work on the publication really speaks for itself.
