Soden, raised in Blackwater and educated at famed rugby league school St Brendans Yeppoon, becomes the fourth president of the not-for-profit Heat, established to provide a pathway for 700 million Latin Americans worldwide. . . Ive been a passionate internationalist and expansionist for many years, Soden said. . . After recently witnessing first-hand PNG defeat England in Port Moresby, Im more determined than ever to make a difference for the sport of rugby league. . . It is genuinely a very exciting time for international rugby league with all the events and opportunities that are happening and Latin America is arguably the most exciting area of all. . . Soden has previously been involved with Latin Heat as both a sponsor and secretary. . .
