15.01.2022 The first treatment is one hour. A thorough assessment is carried out, according to the principals of Traditional Chinese Medicine. A series of questions are asked, the tongue is observed and the pulse is palpated, according to the ancient art of Chinese pulse taking. The pattern of disharmony is diagnosed and a treatment plan is discussed. The person then lays down on the treatment table and the needles are inserted. This only takes a few minutes and the rest is a time for r...elaxation, while the needles do their work. Acupuncture releases endorphins, the body's 'feel good' hormones. The person will leave the clinic feeling relaxed and more balanced. Follow up treatments are 45 minutes and a shorter consultation and assessment is done to check progress, prior to the needles being inserted.
