25.01.2022 Jimmy Hendrix, this one was particularly challenging as Shading is prominent in this sketch, all in all was a good challenge.

Van Gogh painted this self-portrait shortly after his mental breakdown on 23 December ...1888, when he cut off his left ear. His bandaged ear reminds us of the drama, but by adding the painter’s easel behind him, he appears to be saying: I’m still here, and I’m back at work’.
