24.01.2022 Good afternoon All, FCCC would like to congratulate Brad Alcock for winning the D grade bowling award and Paul Healey for winning the D Sunday grade bowling awards. Both players had a brilliant season and again Congratulations to you both. Also we will soon be announcing the FCCC 19/20 awards. More to come.

24.01.2022 A number of things have been decided in the last few hours Training will not be on tomorrow night including no access to all facilities at JJ Holland Park. The MCA has decided against all medical and professional advice including that of Cricket Australia and Cricket Victoria to continue with grand finals this weekend.... This has torn the committee as to our position. We feel the club and players should be given the opportunity to win premierships that we work so hard for, and our concerns for the health and safety of all players, their family and the wider community. Please prepare yourself to play this weekend and if you have any concerns please contact [email protected] any communication will be kept in confidence. Further updates will follow.

18.01.2022 Hey Colts, This is a further update from the Committee: we met this week to discuss the season and the information we have received so far from the MCA and Cricket Victoria. Everything is of course dependant on government guidelines around community sport. There are some new announcements being made tomorrow but I believe it is unlikely that anything relating to sport will be announced - that is going to be on or around October 25. ... At this stage, and with a November 14 start date, training will begin in earnest the week after October 25. Training will be different to what we are used to in its make up and we will have a COVID-19 safe plan, which will govern how that operates. We will have to be flexible and may have to train on different days, but that will be worked through before it all starts. Two more things: early bird is now open with respect cricket fees, we are trying to remain flexible with this and acknowledge incomes and expenses for some (including the cricket club) are a bit unpredictable at the moment. This is $250 for full membership and $150 for concessions, and the account details are: Name: FCCC Acc No: 138135181 BSB: 633000 Finally, if you are yet to complete the COVID-19 training, can you please do so and email your certificate of completion to [email protected]. It’s really important as many do it as possible to ensure we are able to play every game this season. 15.01.2022 Urgent notice for Colts players!! The season is upon us, training has started and it is only 2 weeks until the 1st game. The first session went well without any hiccups, everyone stuck to the Covid safe plan and players got a great bat, bowl and field. We have now added Monday nights to our training sessions due to the small numbers allowed to train. We encourage players to still only pick 1 session a week to start so as many players can train. If a session needs to be filled... on the day, just use Team app to book in. It's been a long time since we’ve had so many players interested/ available for the season and we are happy to announce Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th have been allocated for internal practice matches. We will be using the Turf and synthetic grounds. Please use Team App to book attendance. Cost $10 per player to cover ground and ball. Colts, time has finished for warming up, when you're at training get into it and train hard. Short and sharp sessions. 09.01.2022 After much consideration and input and consultation from all 2s and 3s players, and with great sadness, the FCCC committee have concluded that we need to put our players and communities best interests before the game and are choosing to not participate in the two D grade finals this weekend. This is very unfortunate and has been one of the biggest decisions that the club has ever had to make. The MCAs decision has created much anxiety, stress and anger within our club and we... are extremely disappointed in MCA's actions and their failure to show leadership and care for our community at time when it is needed most. We would like to thank each and every player, coach, adviser, supporter and sponsor for your contribution to our club this season. It has been an absolute pleasure to be a part of this club and I am so proud of the way the committee and players have handled this situation. We can all hold our heads up high.
