25.01.2022 Flintwood have been busy again this week. We were trying to find a solution for participants wearing masks. Many ideas were spoken about and we have come up with the idea of a mask and matching bag. The small bag attaches to their day bag which matches there masks. Thank you to staff for making this happen. Our first model is Patrick, who chose the yellow one as it is the colour of the families business They have set up an amazing cause called "Piccolo for a Cause" The aim is... to raise $10,000 in one week, so from Monday 24th Sunday 30th August, Piccolo Me will be donating: The aim is to raise $10,000 in one week, so from Monday 24th Sunday 30th August, " Piccolo Me supporting our cause in providing aid and relief to building a better Beirut." https://piccolome.com/shopnow/ See more

22.01.2022 We have just put masks in boxes to send to Rae and Jackie. Each mask comes with a filter in the mask and a spare filter. Filters are available on eBay if needed. Crown St is now trialling a new mask pattern, similar to the blue disposable ones but they will be longer in the width. Stay tuned for photos. Again Thank you, Rae, for donating all the lovely material.

19.01.2022 In our plastic project program, we’ve taken a short break from lids and focused on soft plastics. The process is called plastic fusion and as the name suggests, the plastic is fused together to create a sheet. We then used our cutting, ironing and sewing skills to create an accessible water bottle holder for Stephie. All out of recycled plastic bags & packaging. Stay tuned for more plastic projects from the Crown Street crew.

18.01.2022 At Best Road, we are creating a sensory garden. The sensory screen is underway, the outdoor swing was broken so the frame is being used to hold outdoor fabrics and can be dipped into fragrances. The participants are helping with the scissor work to keep their fine motor skills active. We are also in the middle of creating an outside weatherproof tactile board. At 55 Harris Day Program, we have "crazy candle" making, the scents don’t match the colours hence the name, the participants will be creating logo stickers for them and we are going to see options of selling them so we can use that money towards a basketball area.
