24.01.2022 Netball News There are still five rounds to be played in the Forbes Netball Night competitions for both mixed and ladies teams. Finals will be played on June 9 between the two top teams on the point score ladder in each division. The night competitions are lots of fun, with competition a bonus. Last week Chili Netters did not supply an umpire for the first time and will pay a $50-00 fine, give their opposition a 5 goal start in their next game, and lose two competition points.... All umpires who are representing their teams in their umpiring duty are reminded that they cannot use their phones while they are umpiring. The majority of games will either have a badged umpire or committee member as one of the umpires, for support for any umpires. Teams are only allocated to supply one umpire per night. This was a request from teams in previous competitions. See more

21.01.2022 Netball News Saturday Junior Mixed netball Well, what a wonderful day last weekend, at the Kids v Mums day at Forbes Junior Mixed Netball. Everyone was a winner, because of a wonderful response from the families and players at Saturday netball. Thanks to the involvement of all the mums, an extremely successful day of netball family fun was had by all.... There was a lot of laughter and some outstanding skills displayed from the mums and kids. The warm up ice breaker of Tag Ball set the scene for the fun that continued into the game. One game had a very competitive team of mums, who won their game 15-14, showing their children the skills that have been hidden since retiring from playing netball. We are giving the mums a week off, and the next day for Mums v Kids will be September 19 at 11-15 am. So mums, keep practising your goal shooting, and keep fit ready to take on your kids for another round. NetSetGo continues to be very popular at 10 am, and anyone wanting to try the session is very welcome. Children from 5 years and up learn to play in a team, learn lots of skills, and have fun, in a non-competitive environment. The 11-15 am round is for players under 15, who play games, and this round is also open to anyone who would like to come and try netball. Thank you to all the mums and coaches at NetSetGo, for without their help, this session would not be so successful. Remember the FNA has a COVID-19 Safety Plan so everyone can continue to enjoy playing netball safely in the community. Give yourself a health check, and if feeling unwell, please do not enter the grounds. Everyone should note the entry to Stephen Field is on the left hand side of the office, and exit is between the canteen and the skate park. For more detailed information on the COVID-19 Safety Plan, visit the FNA Facebook page, or Netball NSW under COVID-19. See you all Saturday morning. New players welcome. See more
