25.01.2022 Thermal spotter + IR night vision is a deadly combo that ensures you can see backdrops and any surrounding stock or assets that could pose an issue.

24.01.2022 It is strange that last week there were red dogs everywhere you turned in Warragul south but last night only produced 6 sightings and 2 safe enough to shoot. The properties We currently service are hilly and can be frustrating to hunt sometimes where foxes tend to follow ridges and/or hang to close to stock for a clear and safe shot. Safety is always paramount, if a fox cannot be taken with 100% confidence that the bullet will not potentially harm people, stock or assets the...n that fox gets second chance and will be targeted on our next visit. Thanks for your help tonight stu browning, fitting 3 properties in is hard work when flying solo.

21.01.2022 New goodies have arrived! Changing direction with thermal spotter and trying out the pard008lrf on the fox rifle. The lack of size and weight of the pard lends itself well to paddock walks which is crucial at this time of year where there is no way of getting a vehicle in and out.... If you are after a lightweight night vision scope then dont hesitate to message me and I can put you onto my supplier.

19.01.2022 Helped a bloke out sighting in his pard 008LRF on a cz 17 hmr. Had to add a shim to the rail but it is sorted now and shoots beautifully. I love the trigger on this cz it’s very crisp

18.01.2022 Paddock to plate.... Kept almost 3kg of the good condition rabbits from what I shot on an eradication job during the week, why not try smoking them!!

18.01.2022 There is something satisfying about using red light on foxes, they are not generally fussed about having it full noise in their face. I have been using the Sniper hog Lights 66LRX for 12 months now and cant fault it. I can identify foxes safely out to 600yards and get eyeshine out to 2km. My PB long shot would not have been possible with the red filtered olight I had previously.

17.01.2022 Righto guys the dates are up so get on board this great initiative!! Thanks to Williams Red Card Fox Shoot for organising the event. We look forward to using some great new products during the lead up to this cull. https://facebook.com/events/s/australian-fox-shoot/671127987067120/?ti=icl

17.01.2022 I Went out on a rabbit job for a local farmer after he said his hill was caving in from them borrowing. After only 4 rabbits we spotted a fox on the hill behind us so naturally went over to take it out of the system. To our surprise there were 3 foxes playing under the cypress, then 4,5,7,9,10! Foxes were literally coming out of the woodwork constantly! Ended up with the tally being: 2 dogs 1 vixen 7 pups (3 lost in long grass)... Highlight for me was the 2 pups with one shot while they were wrestling each other! All taken with the cz 17hmr between 60-140m

16.01.2022 Well it pays to zero your rifle properly after swapping scopes After another rabbit program the pard went back on the 243 for some fox duties and I didn’t put it back in the right spot and it’s out.... 3 misses on a pup and I decided to test it on a bystanding rabbit at 50m and hit, take it to 100 and it’s missing need to do some cleaning and testing this arvo to fine tune it again and check grouping. Ended up seeing 12 getting 4 by returning to the old school, white spotty to spot, red led to shoot and the old faithful Parker hale 308 got the job done more than enough for one of them and those that stuck around after having the spotlight on them!

15.01.2022 From 11:59pm tomorrow night, you will be allowed to leave home to go hunting in Victoria. Hunting must be in parties of no more than 10 people, while maintainin...g physical distancing of 1.5 metres between all participants. As always though, Victorians are being asked to be considered and use common sense when it comes to their activities. You should only leave home if you really need to. We are all being asked to make sacrifices in order to save lives. Hunters must travel from their home and return within the day no camping or overnight stays are permitted. The updated restrictions applies to open seasons for Stubble Quail, deer (except Hog Deer), hunting Sambar Deer with hounds, and duck. For duck hunting start times will be delayed until 8:00am from Wednesday, 13 May through to Sunday, 17 May (inclusive). Four wetlands will be closed / partially closed / further regulated. Please check the GMA website regularly for updates on wetland closures. People are reminded to act safely, responsibly and legally. For the latest public health advice and information please visit coronavirus.vic.gov.au. Authorised Officers are patrolling around private properties and public land, including game reserves, wetlands and state forests, to ensure compliance with game hunting laws. 11.01.2022 Im lucky enough that my fox rifle responds extremely well to factory ammunition, regularly grouping within 1/2 moa. I do however recommend checking all ammunition prior to use as I do find the the odd one in 100 that has defects in it. In tonights case a deep gouge at the neck can cause rifle damage so this one will be disposed of. Please excuse the boilermaker hands.

10.01.2022 First fox drive for the year over the weekend resulted in 13 foxes down, 5 unaccounted for. Having 10 shooters restricts us to smaller patches but a good result with happy farmers. I dont think my young bloke slept the night before as he was so excited to tag along

09.01.2022 We are proud to be becoming a part of this initiative by Williams Red Card Fox Shoot Like, comment, tag your mates and share this post to get involved.

08.01.2022 First dog fox for the pard nv008lrf was hunting in the neighbors paddock, no more chicken dinners for him. This is an excellent lightweight NV unit.

08.01.2022 Couple last night, one lost in long grass. I couldnt scalp this one, its not often that the 22-250 leaves you with a useable pelt and this one is a pearler! Young eagles eyes spotted it 200m behind us on the way out the front gate of the property

07.01.2022 Just the two last night on a small new property. 3 others sighted on neighbors property but wouldn’t come to a call.

06.01.2022 Four foxes to open the tally for 2021. Two here taken with the .22 after a fox rifle issue, the other 2 were taken with the 243 and are not Facebook photo worthy Thanks to Shane for an eventful and rainy/windy night out on the red dogs from wet seats to sneaky foxes to stupid wombats.

04.01.2022 New addition to the toolbox is a Howa 243. I had one of these in the past which I sold to make way for a 308 but regretted it ever since!!! Thoughts on the look of the pard on it? Personally I think it looks like a chihuahua riding a Clydesdale

03.01.2022 Just the one last night after a call from the neighbor

02.01.2022 First two we have come across on a neighbours farm in 3 months after a solid effort eradicating the farm of foxes. It is this time of year when foxes will start to look at pairing up and it is an important opportunity over the next 2 months to dispose of as many as possible to help slow the rate of breeding in the region.
