13.01.2022 It is with much disappointment, that we have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Galston500 Event. Rather than reschedule, the decision has been made to not hold the event at all in 2020 and to set our focus on making the 2021 Galston500 bigger and better! The new date for the Galston500 will be the Sunday 30th May 2021.

12.01.2022 Mr Ray Hadley mentioned us on his radio programme on 2GB this morning...

11.01.2022 Good evening everyone, well what a day it was on Sunday.. we are still on a high from all those laps around the Galston Valley Railway.. donations are still coming in, so we will have a total amount raised in the coming weeks once all the donations have been collected.. This year, the teams kept the wheels in motion long after the 500 laps was reached.. a total of 575 were not only logged into the computer system, but manually counted by our lap counters.. Great job team con...sidering they were counting from 6am until 4.45pm.. Our locomotive teams were kept busy during the day, our highest laps covered were 53 by team Metrovick and The Thackers covered 50... go to galston500.com/teams and see how many laps your favourite covered.. and during those laps, when we were hauling public, those laps counted as well.. We noticed a keen photographer getting some video footage around the track during the event using a camera and tripod, if that was you, could you contact the admin, as we would be keen to see your footage..and or anyone else’s pics from the day.. make sure you use the hashtags #kissgoodbyetoMS #galston500. There is still time to enter for a chance to win a Galston500 promo pack.. Can I say a massive Thankyou to all the members of Hornsby Model Engineers, North West Model Engineers, Sydney Society of Live Steamers, Western Districts Live Steamers and Mudgee Minature railway who came out to support this event with their locomotives and volunteers.. To our sponsors, sincerely Thankyou for your kind contribution to our event, without you, we wouldn’t have had any raffle prizes, most popular and most donations, or food for everyone to enjoy.. And to you, the public who donated to such a worthwhile cause, we hope we can Kiss Goodbye to MS.. every little contribution helps!
