15.01.2022 BREAKING: The Greater Brisbane lockdown lifts at 12 noon today and a number of temporary safety measures will remain in place for all of Queensland. The followi...ng restrictions will be in place for two weeks until 12 noon on Thursday 15 April 2021: You must continue to carry a mask with you whenever you leave home, and wear it in indoor venues Hospitality venues can open for seated eating and drinking only, and no dancing is allowed Private gatherings are restricted to 30 people Businesses can re-open with one person per 2m Outdoor events can go ahead with a COVID-safe plan, but masks must be worn if social distancing isn’t possible Church services will be allowed 100% occupancy with ticketed or allocated seating or adhering to the one per 2m rule Restrictions on aged care, hospitals, disability care and correctional facilities will apply with no personal visitors allowed during this period. Brisbane City Ipswich City Logan City Scenic Rim Somerset Region Lockyer Valley Moreton Bay Redland City The below measures come into effect immediately: Gatherings in private homes and public spaces will be restricted to a maximum of 10 people. These limits do not apply to businesses operating under a COVID Safe plan. Residential aged care and disability accommodation facilities have restrictions on visitors and residents leaving the facility Hospitals have been asked to restrict visitors as soon as possible Hospital emergency departments, aged care facilities and disability accommodation facilities will use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including face masks and gloves to treat all patients and residents. Extra restrictions have also been put in place for movement and gatherings in all other Queensland areas outside of the above listed local government areas. 10.01.2022 The 2020 LDHS open mixed touch side becomes Lockyer’s first ever team to compete at the QLD All Schools Touch football carnival. The carnival was recently held ...in Brisbane with the team playing six games over two days. The team ran into eventual winners Emmaus Rockhampton first up and, despite going down heavily, managed to refocus and show great improvement throughout the carnival going on to win 4 out of their 6 games. Special mention to Mr Brandon Clarke who assisted with the team throughout the weekend and Peta and Jamie Liston from Gatton Motel who provided the team with sponsorship, ensuring a reduction in fees for our students along with new playing gear. A bit of background about me I grew up in Tenthill on my parents farm Started as a baker back home, moved to the Gold Coast to learn and experience as much as I could within my field. Starting from a Pastry chef, working my way up to becoming a head chef where I helped open a cafe. I always knew I would come back home one day and open my own business. But it is only when I helped open a cafe on the Coast, I realised, yep. It’s time! It’s time to create my dream! And now. Here I am! Back and super keen! I’m all about fresh, quality ingredients.
