23.01.2022 The unique aspect of having a mobile lucas mill is it's mobility. Although we specify our hours are Monday to Saturday from 8 - 5, it is because we are available to assist you with your timber inquiries by phone or in person during these hours. This does not mean that we will be milling constantly during these hours, so we are happy to take calls, quotes and help in any way we can. The mobility advantage allows us to come to you and mill where the log is lying, we don't require having to bring it back to our personal premises to mill everything here. This way we can offer the best service possible and work in with everyone. If you have any concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to give us a call, we are more than happy to help with any concerns and work in with residents. Have a wonderful evening :)

20.01.2022 Hi all. Over the next 2 weeks we have a lot of barrels to cut, all very straight black butt. We already have orders to fill but will have more than enough barrels to take on more. So if your after anything out of the ordinary now is the time to put in your order by email, or call us for a quote.

18.01.2022 Blue Gum slabs. The middle 'feathering' is called a Rooster Tail. this kind of character adds to the value of the slab, due to it's scarceness. These slabs are available for sale, until next year when they go to the wood expo. We also have matching blue gum 75mm square legs if you wish to turn these into a coffee table. (the guy is not for sale, we are quite partial to him !)

12.01.2022 Well its time. Time to kick off and crack a bottle on the side of the mill. We have officially bought the mill, its on its way up here, and we have logs lined up. Watch this space because its going to explode with life. 11.01.2022 We also have firewood and sawdust that we can offer from time to time. A full ute load is $100 for the firewood but we can work out smaller bundles, and sawdust is $60 a ute load. Delivered free to Russell, but can organise other islands.

04.01.2022 Who is GBC Timbers and what do we do? We have a Lucas Mill that is mobile on the SMB Islands, which can provide local residents with a number of services. Mill for Hire. What are the advantages in hiring our mill ? Recently we milled up six logs for a customer, giving them a load of custom sized timber which we also strapped for them. We provided an operator and a mill hand for the day and after the customer hired us for two days they were the proud owners of over $9 000 w...orth of timber. You can't argue with that. Removal of Logs. It costs a fair price to dump a log. If we can ease the burden of having to pay to remove a log we are providing a wonderful service for locals, and also helping to keep our islands sustainable and environmentally conscious. We also pride ourselves on leaving the area clean. Because of milling up unwanted logs, this leaves us in a position to offer a great selection of hardwoods available for locals to purchase. The best part about milling is that if there is a specific size that you are after, we can easily make up custom orders in a variety of sizes, so if there is a special project that you have been holding off on because you can't procure that specific size, we can help with that. Along with this we stock popular sizes of hardwood timber such as posts, bearers, joists and batons, as well as fencing needs from fence posts, rails and palings. 01.01.2022 This was nothing but a tallow wood log on the ground destined for landfill less then 7 months ago. Now it is a family gathering place for many years to come. If your interested in one of these picnic tables you can p.m. us for a price.
