24.01.2022 Geelong Touch is holding its AGM next Monday night on July 13 at 7pm at King Lloyd. If you wish to attend and are not already on the committee, please let us know in advance. We will be electing all positions, discussing financial positions along with current and past activities and how the upcoming season should be run. 23.01.2022 Ready to setup your team registration for our 8 week competition starting on Monday July 20? Go to www.touchfootball.com.au/play to register your team. Just type in your postcode to find the competition to register into (A or B grade).

23.01.2022 Registrations are now officially open for our 8 week competition starting Monday July 20. Fees will only be $70 for adults and $50 for juniors 18 and under. Please visit https://touchfootball.com.au/play/ Enter your postcode or "Geelong" to find our competition to register into.

23.01.2022 Please vote if you are interested. We need at least 20 positive votes to consider running something for anyone 18 and under over the next two months. A decision will be made next Tuesday night.

22.01.2022 Whilst the start date for our normal open competition is still unclear, we are excited to start our first Junior competition running on Friday nights starting Oct 16. This will be split into primary and high school groups, with the secondary group forming teams to start a competition by week 4 of the program. We encourage everyone wanting to play to register online (link in the comments) and turn up from week 1 so we can organise who plays in each team. Registration will only be $40. Spread the word and share this post!

21.01.2022 Touch starts back tomorrow! Don't forget to sign in via the QR codes located on the wall of the clubrooms, on the table on the deck, or on the lid of the box on the sideline at each field with the scorecards. Draws available via the competitions tab on the Touch Football Australia website or through the homepage of our website.

21.01.2022 Geelongs annual Touch tournament is back for the 3rd year running on Sunday Feb 14. This mixed division tournament is suitable for all levels with 4 different divisions catering for NTL and state league teams to your normal club team. Teams from all over the state are expected again for another great day of Touch. Games will be 20 minutes. Comment for more info or message our page / email for more info. ... 21.01.2022 Hi all, We are still waiting for a specific start date for either our sport or community sport in general. What we do know is that the next step which increases to gatherings of 20 may start on June 1st. This would allow teams of 10 people to play against each other.... With the AFL starting on June 11th, it is also reasonable to think that we maybe able to start at that time (on June 15th). Therefore, Id recommend organising your team now (try to get 5 guys and 5 girls so you have enough subs for when people are away). As soon as we get told a date, Ill put up a post with the registration link. Note, registrations will look different now, as we are no longer associated with Sports-TG.

19.01.2022 Touch Football Geelong is offering 10 free memberships to any women that havent played Touch Football before to play in the upcoming 8 week season. The only condition is that we will assign you to a team as opposed to choosing a team. The sport is easy to learn and it doesnt matter how old you are or if you have never played. 19.01.2022 A reminder that the Junior Touch Football Program / competition starts tomorrow at 6:15pm. In the first 3 weeks we will be running drills and sorting out player numbers and teams. We may run some shortened games. The following 6 weeks will be a competition with full length games. We will need everyone who comes to the grounds to sign in on the sheet in the clubrooms with their name and phone number. Please remember, do not come to the grounds if you are unwell. Please wash y...our hands prior to arriving at the grounds. The bathrooms will be open but we encourage you not to use the change rooms where possible. Finally, we encourage you to download the COVID safe app. There will be hand santiser in the tubs at both fields and in the club rooms and we encourage you to use this before you start participating. Regarding registration, this is found at the Touch Football Australia website, by searching for the Geelong juniors team, however you may want to wait 2 weeks before doing this just in case things get worse in Geelong and we are required to cancel the competition.

17.01.2022 As an update we would like to confirm that the Geelong area has not been impacted from todays announcements as far as sport is concerned. Our winter competition will commence as planned on Monday July 20. There will be longer breaks between matches with timeslots of 6:15, 7:15 and 8:15. We will be playing with sub boxes where only players are allowed. All captains will need to sign off everyone that is playing each game on the sheet located at the field. ... Anyone that lives in metro Melbourne is unable to participate in our winter competition. Please do not attend if you are unwell. There will be sanitizer at each field. Give a shout out instead of a hand shake and please download the COVID safe app.

17.01.2022 The junior program will run tonight and next Friday December 18 before having a few weeks off and returning on Friday Jan 15. The last session will be on Friday Feb 26.

17.01.2022 Hi all, Sadly we announce that the Junior program will not be continuing any further. The latest state announcement puts a stop to community sport in Geelong and even though restrictions for us wont begin until Thursday, we feel its best to cancel tomorrow nights session. It was great to see everyone turn up last week and it gives us confidence that we can start a new program or junior competition at short notice once we are able to. Possible options include Friday night ...or Sunday mornings in summer in addition to our Monday night and Wednesday night family competitions. For everyone that has paid for the adult or junior competitions, please send us your bank account details for a full refund to [email protected] stating who you registered and for which competitions. Stay safe, and see everyone back on the Touch field hopefully in early October (noting we had planned to start on October 12 for our summer competitions).

16.01.2022 A reminder that games start tomorrow night from 6:15pm. Check out the fixtures at www.touchfootball.com.au/competitions and don't forget to complete registration if you haven't already, also via the TFA website through the 'register into a team' section. Our fields will be marked with black paint. There will also be hockey fields marked out throughout our grounds with white paint. It is important that everyone checks in each week. This is a really quick process through the ...services Vic app using the camera on your phone. Please have Services Vic installed if you haven't already (this is the same one used by all restaurants). These barcodes can be found on the external wall outside our clubroom front door, next to the stairs on the deck and on each scorecard box at all fields. Finally, if you are playing in the first timeslot, we will need some help each Monday night moving the Hockey goals to the nearest east or west side of the grounds.

12.01.2022 Dear members, We have been informed that due to the current situation, the resumption of senior sport that was planned for July 20 has to be put on hold for all of Victoria. Unfortunately that puts doubt on us being able to run any sort of competition before the summer competition in early October.... I understand that some people have paid already. The best situation is to wait for up to another 4 weeks before we make a decision on any sort of competition in winter and in that time we will then be able to provide full refunds. If you urgently would like a refund, please let us know. This is devastating news and we are hoping that we can all do our part to ensure the situation gets better in Victoria.

10.01.2022 The government have just given an indicative date of July 20 for resumption of adult sporting competitions. When this is locked in we will open up registrations and look to hold an 8 week winter competition. Fees will be reduced significantly.

09.01.2022 VT league is the states best Touch league played on Sundays from September through to late November in Melbourne. One of the clubs wants people from Geelong to join them and play in either div 1 or 2 mens or womens teams. If you are interested in playing please get in touch by Wednesday night as they need a response by then.

04.01.2022 Thanks to the coaches and everyone that came along tonight for the first night of our junior program. We split out into age groups and Dan our junior coach was really good in teaching the basics, whilst the older group did competitive drills followed by a game. We encourage everyone who is thinking about playing to come down from next Monday night, as we need to try and create teams for week 4 when we start the full length games. P.S. There should be an article in the Geelong Advertiser tomorrow about our program.
