23.01.2022 It was a very quiet time in the church last evening. Eerie. There was no one there. Then at midnight I spent a few hours in vigil and adoration before our Lord. Again quiet, not the usual change of people from our 24 hour adoration we usually have. It was also, I think, very reminiscent of the lonliness Jesus must have felt when all left Him, and He was alone. Desolate and abandoned. Take this time to walk with Jesus. Walk with Him as you pray the Stations of the Cross. Be as...sured that here I will be walking the Stations at 10.00am, and offering the Good Friday Liturgy, and the Mass of the Pre-Sanctified starting at 1.30pm. God bless Ken PS: Here is the Newsletter from Msgr Carl https://tinyurl.com/vr3f2ks

There are plenty of articles in this issue of ITD to give you hope in these extraordinary circumstances surrounding the coronavirus COVID-19. Hope you take comfort from these. God bless and let’s remain close to one another in prayer. Please share ITD with others, especially during these times of isolation. https://stoneswillshout.com/ See more

11.01.2022 On this Father's Day we also remember our Father's in God, all of our priests that work tirelessly in the vineyard of God. V/. Remember, O Lord, Thy congregatio...n. R/. Which Thou hast possessed from the beginning. Let us pray. O Lord Jesus, born to give testimony to the Truth, Thou who lovest unto the end those whom Thou hadst chosen, kindly hear our prayers for our pastors. Thou who knowest all things, knowest that they love Thee and can do all things in Thee who strengthen them. Sanctify them in Truth. Pour into them, we beseech Thee, the Spirit whom Thou didst give to Thy apostles, who would make them, in all things, like unto Thee. Receive the homage of love which they offer up to Thee, who hast graciously received the threefold confession of Peter. And so that a pure oblation may everywhere be offered without ceasing unto the Most Holy Trinity, graciously enrich their number and keep them in Thy love, who art one with the Father and the Holy Ghost, to whom be glory and honour forever. Amen.

03.01.2022 The attached Litany is adapted from the Rituale Romanum ‘Procession in time of plague’. I have asked my parishioners to pray this Litany every day while the Virus runs its course. It is easy to get scared, and feel helpless, in times like these and we forget to our peril that God is in charge. I commend it to you. Let us pray. Hear us, O God, our Savior, and by the prayers of glorious Mary, Mother of God, and ever... a Virgin, of St. Sebastian, your martyr, and of all the saints, deliver your people from your wrath, and in your bounty let them feel certain of your mercy. Lord, mercifully heed our supplications, and heal our infirmities of body and soul; so that knowing your forgiveness we may ever rejoice in your blessing. We beg you, Lord, to hear our sincere pleas, and graciously to avert this plague which afflicts us; so that mortal hearts may acknowledge that such scourges come from your wrath and cease only when you are moved to pity; through Christ our Lord. All: Amen. https://gippslandordinariate.wordpress.com//litany-in-tim/

01.01.2022 Have you ever noticed how in the scriptures men are always going up into the mountains to commune with the Lord? Yet in the scriptures we hardly ever hear of ...women going to the mountains, and we know why right? Because the women were too busy keeping life going; they couldn’t abandon babies, meals, homes, fires, gardens, and a thousand responsibilities to make the climb into the mountains! I was talking to a friend the other day, saying that as modern woman I feel like I’m never free enough from my responsibilities, never in a quiet enough, or holy enough spot to have the type of communion I want with God. Her response floored me, That is why God comes to women. Men have to climb the mountain to meet God, but God comes to women where ever they are. I have been pondering on her words for weeks and have searched my scriptures to see that what she said is true. God does in deed come to women where they are, when they are doing their ordinary, everyday work. He meets them at the wells where they draw water for their families, in their homes, in their kitchens, in their gardens. He comes to them as they sit beside sickbeds, as they give birth, care for the elderly, and perform necessary mourning and burial rites. Even at the empty tomb, Mary was the first to witness Christ’s resurrection, She was there because she was doing the womanly chore of properly preparing Christ’s body for burial. In these seemingly mundane and ordinary tasks, these women of the scriptures found themselves face to face with divinity. So if like me you ever start to bemoan the fact that you don’t have as much time to spend in the mountains with God as you would like. Remember, God comes to women. He knows where we are and the burdens we carry. He sees us, and if we open our eyes and our hearts we will see Him, even in the most ordinary places and in the most ordinary things. He lives.
