23.01.2022 Gitanjali customer Trixie Poupe has used the new MINT furniture revamped Decoupage Paper -Madame Le Fevre and turned a simple chest of drawers into something pretty incredible. Trixie is an avid user of Annie Sloan paints and is unstoppable with the brush. On this piece she has blended Paris Grey, French Linen, and a custom mix of Louis Blue and Napoleonic Blue, finishing in a salt wash and Annie Sloan Clear Wax.

07.01.2022 Todays Stockist Sunday shines the light on Helen Doody from Gitanjali in Walkerville in Adelaide, South Australia. Helen has been a stockist for nearly a year... now with Adelaide painters visiting daily. In the short time we have been stocking Annie Sloan, we have developed some really lovely relationships with our customers and love seeing their work. Its great to be there at the beginning when the customer is musing over colour choices and really satisfying to see the end result. During Covid, one of my clever customers has even used the downtime to paint everything in her Child Care Centre. Helen has been involved in the homewares industry for twenty years and combines this with a passion for India, travel, collecting, handcrafted items and now painting. In fact, this month celebrates the fifth birthday of her inspiring store. Gitanjali is filled with colourful and exotic homewares, textiles and jewellery. It is definitely Indian-Inspired, but the emphasis is on carefully curated loveliness from every corner of the globe. Youll also find lots of rustic and quirky furniture pieces, complemented by the full range of Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan products. Make sure you also see Helens new Chalk Paint Paint Bar set-up for you to play and try colours and mixes, and for her to show you what colour may work best for your piece. What I love about being an Annie Sloan Stockist is all of the amazing new people that I have met; I have really enjoyed introducing new customers to the world of Annie Sloan. I have also loved the support and friendship from other stockists. Ive been inspired by professional furniture painters who continually amaze me with their creativity. Its really satisfying when someone asks "What is Chalk Paint?" and then in no time at all, they are back buying more paint for another project and then another! Since Covid restrictions have lifted in South Australia, Helen and her team are making up for the lost time by holding regular Annie Sloan Workshops; the next workshop is scheduled for the 5th of September. They are fantastic fun for the attendees and for us. The last couple of workshops have gone way over time with no one wanting to leave as they have been too engrossed in their painting.
