20.01.2022 2 disappointing things occured at the Gaol yesterday. 1. A man that travels on his bike, had his wallet stolen from his bike while it was parked in the gaol for a short time. Its disappointing to have a theif here. Yes its a gaol and you belong in one, but doesnt give you the rights to go through someones stuff and steal. This gentleman had all his money in that wallet so you have just ruined his living money. 2. Someone vandalised one of the cells. Yes you broke through the tape that says dont enter, but a piece has been cut. Yes its only tape, but its the principal of look dont touch. We have things up for all to enjoy. We dont want to stop having a few fun things around but we will if kids dont respect the gaol. Here is hoping today is a better day.

Thanks again for all your support since reopening in June. We will have a belated Christmas show next year. Regards caretakers of the Gladstone Gaol.

11.01.2022 Hi Everyone, As most of you know by now, the Gaol has slowly been taken over by new Caretakers. All will be revealed down the track as to who they are, but please drop in for a chat and a look around and get to know these lovely new people who will go out of their way to make you feel more than welcome! Fe and Tony have now moved away interstate and we wish them all the best for the future, but Deb, Rose and Reena, will still be here for quite a while yet, to help out a couple of days a week. It has been very difficult for the Gaol because of Covid 19, just like most people and businesses, but please continue to support this local tourist industry so we can get back on our feet and keep the doors open for years to come for all of your parties, weddings, family get togethers, car clubs, bike clubs and much, much more. Thanks Everyone!!

10.01.2022 We having a little fundraiser at the Gladstone Gaol on the 19th of September between 12pm and 2pm. During this time Adults get in at kids prices. We need garden supplies to get gardens looking good for you all to enjoy in return visits

01.01.2022 You dont have to look far to see the devastating effect COVID-19 is having in Victoria. We know how quickly COVID-19 can spread and thats why we are taking swift action to keep South Australians safe. From midnight tonight, new restrictions on residential private gatherings and the service of food and drinks will come into effect.... Residential private gatherings will be limited to 10 people. Patrons must be seated in cafes, restaurants and licensed venues when consuming food and drinks. New_restrictions_explainer.jpg Further sensible increases to restrictions are being considered to help stop the spread. We are acting on expert advice to keep the people of South Australia safe, while keeping our economy moving forward. Testing rates have been exceptional over the past few weeks, and we want this continue. If you have any cold or flu symptoms, please get tested - either at a COVID-19 testing clinic, a drive through facility, or a mobile testing station. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. signatures_steven_blue.jpg STEVEN MARSHALL Premier of South Australia
