12.01.2022 Touch Rugby League competition relocates to Glenholme Park This year has seen the Touch Rugby League Toowoomba competition move to Glenholme Park at 189 Hursley Road, Glenvale. With the winter competition about to get underway with a ‘come & try’ might on Monday 11th June, 2018, the TRL is excited by setting up operations and aligning themselves to the Glenholme Park Sports & Community Hub Touch Rugby League currently has 80,000 players registered across its Australia-wide ...competitions, stretching from Townsville down through to Melbourne. There are Junior and Senior competitions as well as opportunities to play at a representative level. This sport is the closest version to Rugby League and has proven to be a strong pathway for women especially getting to understand and enjoy the sport, without the collision. Several women players have graduated and now play Rugby League. Touch Rugby League is the latest sport to join the Glenholme Park Sports & Community Hub at their Hursley Road grounds. TRL Toowoomba General Manager Chris McEwan, said the franchise was excited not only to be part of Glenholme but also to be able to base its operations out of a facility that offers great infrastructure to support growth and enjoyment of the sport. The Winter competition is about to get underway and will be run Monday and Wednesday nights. The start date is Monday, 18th June, 2018, so I invite you to join Australia’s fastest growing social sport. It’s about having fun, keeping fit, meeting people and becoming part of a team said McEwan. Glenholme Park Chairman, Gary Palmer, said that the group was absolutely delighted to welcome Touch Rugby League Toowoomba to Hursley Road. It is a great sport which is growing rapidly throughout Australia and provides a very interactive and social format for the wider community, whilst being part of a team For more information please contact Chris McEwan on 0408184103 (TRL) or visit www.trltoowoomba.com.au for more details.
